Decent BBC documentary on railway modelling

Apologies if this was posted first time around when it was on telly first in 2008, but in conjunction with Rail 200, BBC have made some old railway related programming available to watch on the iPlayer for a limited time, including this offering on the history of railway modelling.

The Joy of (Train) Sets

I quite enjoyed it.

That was a pretty good program from what I remember.

I’ve sorted the link out now, so it should go straight to it. I’ll try and watch it again when I get a bit of spare time over the weekend.

Ah, thank you for fixing that @Cowley !
I certainly enjoyed it, and some of the old footage was really interesting. I didn't realise that Stephen Mangan, who narrates it, was a model rail buff too.
(Every time I see him I get an urge to shout "Dan" repeatedly.....some will know why.....!)
There was the usual appearance of Pete Waterman of course, but I particularly enjoyed Maggie, and her amazing french rural small-gauge layout and her fabulous scratch built buildings. I liked the academic woman's contributions too, and her sociological take on rail modelling! All in all, quite an enjoyable watch.
