People holding many tickets can travel on far more trains than those 2 hours before or after a cancelled train. Presumably they are actually talking about operator or train specific tickets, in which case why don't they say so ?
To me it is absolutely clear that you can. Where is the doubt?" 09:18 Blackpool North to Leeds due 11:26 will be cancelled.
This is due to a member of train crew being unavailable.
Further Info
We apologise for the cancellation of this service today.
If the train you have a ticket for is cancelled, you can travel on any Northern, TransPennine Express and East Midlands Railway service within 2 hours before or after your cancelled service was due to depart."
The above is from the website today. I am still not clear whether Northern-only non-Advance tickets (eg Ranger) can be used on TPE
« the train you have a ticket for » implies some kind of reservationTo me it is absolutely clear that you can. Where is the doubt?
I think that's a pessimistic reading. I would go for it and if need be raise hell.« the train you have a ticket for » implies some kind of reservation
Based on that logic you wouldn't be entitled to ticket acceptance if you held an Off-peak/Anytime ticket without a seat reservation, which is clearly wrong.« the train you have a ticket for » implies some kind of reservation
