Hi,

I know the Stratford International leg of the DLR is well behind schedule. I also know the new line is due to run through the old NLL platforms at Stratford (Domestic) station, along the old formation to North Woolwich as far as Canning Town, and then down on the existing network to either Woolwich Arsenal or Beckton.

Does anyone know when the new line via Star Lane is due to open, and what the off-peak weekday frequencies along the line are due to be?

Many thanks

From what I understand, towards the end of August is currently "penciled in," although no date is set in stone. Train frequency to be every 10 minutes off peak between Beckton and Stratford International. Every 8/9 minutes Woolwich to Stratford International peak.

If anything it is going to be before mid September when Westfield Stratford opens as thats going to be done under a big fanfare being so close to the Olympic site.

The DLR staff advise however that there is nothing on the rostas yet for this Stratford International extention.

Monday 22nd August has been mentioned today

As far as know, the Diamond Geezer who wrote that isn't a rail worker, but he tends to folllow things TfL-related fairly closely, and (speaking a someone who has read his blog almost daily for the best part of 7 years) is also not given to spreading unsubstantiated rumours...

So I guess we'll see....

Not sure how to multi-quote, but here goes:
Services to Stratford International will be as an extension to the current peak hour woolwich to Canning Town service and a diversion to the current off-peak Beckon to Blackwall service, so services run from Stratford international to Woolwich Arsenal
In peaks, Beckton at all other times.

With regards to nothig on the rosters, a date for the new schedule coming in was given to staff last week but was revised. The first week or so of operation on the line will be without passengers to allow for staff training and to iron out any operational issues
