Website states to submit your application LinkedIn, I wouldn’t even touch the website in terms of applying.

You can apply via website, just like for the other positions they are recruiting for. It worked fine for my partner who filled out all sections of the application and got a confirmation email when completed.
Nothing to do with being nationalised etc. SWR and Greater Anglia are nationalised and they still recruit on their site as per normal.

C2C recruitment is a broken system - I applied for one of their roles over a year ago and my application is still in their 'review status'

Worst company to hear from regarding jobs. They never reply. Last time round they already took qualified internally and no one got in externally. Pathetic

If you don’t mind me asking for you two who got the rejection email, did you ever get your application viewed, if so, when? Thanks.

We applied via linked so I dont think it says if its viewed or not.

I know that C2C don’t reply if you apply via the careers website.

They are really bad communication.

Thats a good sign, the process takes months.

How far do you live from any of the depots ?
10 minute walk. That's why I don't understand the rejection.

It could be that they have taken on Internals, the have to show fair recuritment by advertising.

This year they took on a police officer and some other staff like engineers.

so dont take it personal. I am also in the same boat as you.

Thousands of people apply and they only take on 6-10 people at a time.

I live about 20 minutes by car.

I don’t understand this though, as there is no where for for us to put the address. My addresses isn’t on my CV, and the questions they asked, nothing about address. If I remember it said about 45/60 mins but don’t remember the exact question.

Hi all,

I’ve been selected to complete the tests for this vacancy. The first, is an online test. Does anyone have any tips or knowledge of the online test? Is it a c2c test, or a OPC test that is sent out? The email states:

Over the next week or so, you will be sent a link to an online “pre-sift” assessment. This will be a test of concentration & attention to detail, and will take you about 20 minutes.

Thanks in advance.

This is the first time they are doing pre-sifts, cause in 2021, I went striaght to the test centre but failed one test.

And I applied for this campaign and was unsucessful at the application stage.

maybe some of the others will shed light once it has been completed.

Also the OPC will give you practice on the online assesment just before you start the test

Oh ok. I have a pass mark with the online testing in the last few months with OPC. I had to do a SJT and VSE. Hopefully this allows me to pass this test without doing it.

If so, would be great to find out what the test entails.

Finger crossed, with the VSE did you use any kind stratergy to Identify the shapes. I really struggled with that part when I failed.

I done the practice material a few times on the shapes, had to drill it into my brain that shapes that match was an error.
