I couldn't see any threads on this. Any news on how this is progressing, what still needs doing and when it is likely to open, sometime in 2026?

Half hourly trains from Birmingham New Street to Kings Norton, all stations. They are already in RTT.

Not really any earlier than the last Cross City or Worcester/Hereford departures.
It would certainly be nice if Cross City kept going for another hour.

There was a plan to look at diverting the Worcester services via the Camp Hill, probably not all but some, calling at all the stations. Don't think this is being pursued right now but might come back.

It would certainly be nice if Cross City kept going for another hour.

Would this come in if/when the West chords were built under Midlands Rail Hub?

The Midlands Rail Hub plans are for a second service to Hereford -Worcester via the Camphill Line starting at Moor Street when MRH completed. The current service via University to New Street would remain as there is significant demand from Worcester to the QE Hospital and Birmingham University.

The Camp Hill line reminds me of the Maryhill line in Glasgow, a short diesel line surrounded by electric!

It's a shame it's not being electrified and quite a short sighted decision in my opinion.

Its never been in a plan to be electrified, Moseley tunnel is too small anyway as it stands.
