So ladies and gentlemen.

The 92s at Crewe; what's wrong with any/all of them? Which could (in order of what's needed) come back into traffic?

Could I ever see Bart in use again?

Any use - as a lot have been stored for many many years. Must be a reason as to why?

From DBs perspective, why operate expensive electric locos when you have plenty of relatively cheaper to run and maintain (with better parts availability) 66s available...
A lot were parked up needing heavy exams or expensive and time consuming parts replacing (016 needed a new transformer for example). As for 017, even if it did ever return (which is pretty unlikely now) it likely wouldn't remain in Stobart Rail livery due to DB no longer having that contract and Stobart Rail no longer existing as it once did

Daventry to Dollands Moor water train for a start.
For one relatively short distance working (given DB 92s don't run on 3rd rail anymore so it would be either be Wembley-Daventry or spend even more money reinstating 3rd rail capabilities), it just doesn't make financial sense for DB. And in today's world, DB Cargo are storing serviceable 66s due to lack of work so they aren't going to splash out on 92s if they don't desperately need them. Until/if more profitable work suitable for a 92 shows up, the active fleet will likely only remain at Dollands Moor for Channel Tunnel work.

And all that is coming from someone who'd love to see DB 92s back on the WCML, just don't think it'll be happening again in the near future though unfortunately

Couldn't they route it via the GOBLIN and onto HS1 at Dagenham Jn? Thereby using AC the entire way (IIRC).

Or would that get in the way of the regular high speed services

HS1 does have freight capacity, but it might be at the wrong times.

Or it simply could be that HS1 access charges are too high if alternative routes are available!

92029 was used on several Wembley - Ripple Lane test runs with wagons last year (I think). However, it was noticeable that these runs went via Stratford and Kentish Town West (one even went via Primrose Hill) so maybe an issue using 92s on the GOBLIN?

Do any still run on third rail? I’m pretty sure I saw 3 being dragged down the Catford Loop last year.

Or even, could DB Germany take them to help with their own locomotive issues?
Not an option...
1. Germany is 15kv 15 2/3Hz AC electrification and 92s are 25kV AC
2. What loco issues? DB Germany are wanting to cut loco numbers rather than take more on! If they wanted more they wouldn't have cancelled/sold on part of their Vectron order.
