Best mention all jobs that you have had.
is the REED process simple? Or will they require proof of enrolment from university, etc . Will just email and number be fine to tell them that I was at university ?

I don’t really remember much but a lot of it was just tests of grammar, spelling and punctuation then. Look through the thread I’m sure someone has posted an example.

If you weren’t paying tax probably better to say you were unemployed or volunteering. Only because they’ll ask for 5 year tax history through HMRC and from there they’ll be able to see every job you worked and if you haven’t paid tax on that it might raise questions.

Also does anyone know when we receive details of training. I start on the 15th.
I was doing a teaching course I was paid, but not taxed at all as it was bursary. Will this be Ok to tell them? What proof will they require

The process is simple enough all they ask for reference is contact details of your manager or employer. Can’t speak for the process now incase it’s changed.

My advice is not to worry until it gets to it. The onboarding/Reed team are very active and helpful and will literally contact you if any further info is needed. This part took a few of us on here multiple efforts so don’t worry about it.

Tfl released the "latest" Implementation Notice here which covers all pay. (It's been updated for 2024 but didn't seem to be in the public domain.)

For 2024 figures add:

CSA1 = +4.9%
CSA2 = +5.9%

(sorry I can't get the inline links to work atm)
Oh that’s the overtime rate for all staff

Are TFL employees eligible for Costco memberships?
Yes. TfL is listed as one of the pre approved businesses on the Costco website. Employees are entitled to an Individual membership.

Is there a limit to how many people can get this CSA2 job role? What if a Lot of people pass?

I didn't read the advert, but I'm sure it will have said you are being recruited to a waiting list.

Applicants from the previous campaign have waited 1yr+ to gain a training date, so successful applicants just wait, and wait, and wait.

To give you a idea last campaign over 30,000 applied and just under 600 we’re hired hope that helps however that 600 don’t instantly start training this is a wait before u start

I’d also like to know if there is anything anyone recommends we take (aside from a bag / small suitcase to carry our uniforms!)

Notebook/pen is always handy - although you will be issued with iPads and workbooks also. There is a free tea/coffee machine but it's of variable quality and can be out of service - I always take a mug in with me, and a reusable water bottle (thankfully it will hopefully be a long time before I'm back at AH!).

If you're a packed lunch person there is a microwave, fridge and kettle in the soft seating area. Personally, avoid the (very overpriced) canteen and if you do want to get lunch there's a Tesco Express, Co-op and a few independent cafes on the high street. There's more than enough time to walk to them at lunchtime.

Otherwise, not really! The key one - if it suits you - is a suitcase or large holdall for uniform, but I was fine with the box it got delivered in.

Just wondering if anyone’s in the same boat as me:

- Initial CSA1 night tube offer in Early September 2024
- Requested to transfer to CSA2 full time campaign some months ago
- Called some time ago and they said I’m on the next batch of people (who requested to transfer from night tube to full time) to be given a training date.

It’s been some time so I really hope they haven’t forgotten about me / us and really hoping the transfer gets accepted for a training date soon .
Completely understand it’s up to the business but was just wondering if anyone else had requested from CSA1 night tube to CSA2 full time.
Just wondering if anyone is in a similar situation

Revise for grammar and spelling mistakes and how to read a tube map I’ve been told

This has never existed, at least not in the form I think you believe it to.

Some grades/roles receive an enhanced payment for working New Year’s Eve, but the exact permutations are too complex to try and list here in a manner that isn’t going to be confusing for externals.

You can give someone else in your household free travel pass also.
Can you ever change this in the future to someone else in the household, and if you move houses etc.

Yes. Subject to the evidence required by TfL for nominee passes that proves the nominee lives at your address: that being: bank statement, driving licence, council tax bill, etc.

(As always with LUL, any abuse could result in the disciplinary process being started, or even prosecution. For example, between April and June this year, 60 staff and nominee passed were withdrawn after revenue checks.)

What do you mean? As in they got caught that they gave someone that isn’t at their household the nominee pass ?

I was just wondering if you could change in the future if you move address also or move out of ur parents house and u change the nominee pass to ur wife etc.

How much would CSA1 make part time? And what would the hours be like?

You can change the nominee pass at any stage on surrender of the old card and by paying £10 for the issuance of a new one. Note that doing so regularly - whilst not explicitly disallowed - would flag on the system.

Staff pass misuse can include many things including it being shared, sold or - yes - given to someone who doesn’t live with you.

There are many permutations of part time for CSAs and all have very long waiting lists - Night Tube, weekends, mornings, lates. The salary is worked out on a pro-rata basis. There may also be job sharing opportunities available.

I’m just wondering if candidates from the previous campaign have already been given start dates or if some are still waiting. Just trying to get a sense of whether there might be a long wait for those who pass in the current campaign. I attended the role-play/SBI yesterday and while I’m not feeling extremely confident, I think there’s a chance I did well enough.
