I completed the test just waiting for my results
I’ve also completed an sjt and personal stuff sent through.
It did mention I may need to re-sit some assessments with OPC as GTS requires enhanced pass, so waiting to see what happens with that…!
This campaign is for both Abbey Wood and Old Oak Common.
Mine was 12 days to be exact
I applied on 24 th August may be that’s why I didn’t get it yet

I want to ask one more thing that my cousin also applied for this position but he has provisional driving license did he still get that job or it’s a no for him?? Just curious because he asked from me and I don’t have any answers for that

Having a UK Driving license is not a prerequisite for a trainee train driver role with most Passenger TOCS. Freight (FOCs) generally requires it as driving a van forms part of the duty. Your cousin, as long as they meet the other requirements, has as much of a chance as any other applicant.

I still haven’t got the email back from them since mid August.
I initally got an invite for SJT , priorities- driving tasks, preference questions and more about myself a week after uploading my c.v. Just got another invitation (after im guessing passing the first one)for the second assessment by the OPC for a M7 situational judgement test , and a visual search exercise 4 days after completing the first assessment . This time the OPC has provided practice material. Its moving really fast!

My SJT invitation stated the deadline date was on 2nd Sept. Hopefully its not the same time that everyone gets the invites.

There's not one single "enhanced level", every TOC that operates to an enhanced standard can set their own. If you resit a test you've passed to national then your new score will override your old one so if you fail then that's a life lost

Good to know thank you, as long as I do what I did last time I won’t need to worry about losing a life then!
My SJT deadline was 2nd sept too, haven’t heard anything though so thinking I’m out of the running for this one sadly… good luck hope you go all the way!

Maybe they send sjt only to old Oak depot for thé moment? I applyed for Abbey wood but heard nothing from them for thé moment.
I don’t think you can apply for either one it’s just a general application? Either way I’m closer to old oak so unlikely that’s the case unfortunately

Don’t count yourself out yet. Railway recruitment is known to be glacial in speed, and is usually done in waves. Until you’ve had the bad news email, you’re still in the running.
Appreciate the positivity i have been through the process many times over in the last 6 years so should be more use to it by now .
My only concern was the discussion about the wrong link for the position. But i received a confirmation email saying they got it so i will keep my hopes up

I normally lurk but thought I would contribute given that I applied to this.
I applied for the role on 16/08, was invited to complete initial OPC assessments on 28/08, and got invited to the second round of initial assessments on 04/09.
I've just completed my M7SJT and VSE. In terms of the VSE, I definitely made a few errors on part 2, I think ~7/140 or so? So think that has greatly dampened my chances. Similar story for part 3, definitely more difficult than the practice materials they give you, I think (hope) I saw more green than red but given how competitive these positions tend to be I presume they will only move forward with the best of the best.
How did everybody else find the assessments?

Hi mate how long did the VSE take? And was the first part fairly straight forward?
