The 12 Volvo B7RLEs that have been withdrawn from active service in Dundee as a result of the new Yutong U11DDs entering service, are as follows:
2414/15/17/19, 2420/21/23/26/27, 2440/41/42.
The latter 3 have of course moved to the Aberdeen operation for the 14 service. Most of the others are likely to find work elsewhere within the Group, at least in the short term.
Those remaining on active duty in Dundee are 2431-33 and 2436-39 (7 in total).

I seen 2421 in Balfron this afternoon preparing for a school bus. 2423 latterly seen on the F16 service.

Seems the new Yutongs have finally got announcements on them (however the accent seems to be regional?, as it’s not the same voice on the Enviro 400 MMCs), I describe the voice on the Enviros as the Alexa voice (as on the app it’s British voice 2).

Looks like Xplore has a Public inquiry.

Is it rare to swap a bus for a bus for another bus in a space of 15 mins? (this was today)

8611 (Yutong), was on the 28 route it was swapped for another electric bus (28 branded bus), the Yutong ended up on the 5A swapping for the Enviro400 MMC. I had the impression the Yutong was returning to garage but to see it turning up 15 mins later on the Arbroath Road swapping another.

I was looking on bus times, the bus was originally out on the 5/5A to then what seems to be a short journey from Douglas to then Myrekirk and then switch at Albert Square to then go back on the 5/5A.

What’s happened to the repaints of the 400MMCs? Four got done initially then it seems to have come to a halt?

I’m surprised none of the single deckers have ever been repainted, I noticed in the interior of some of the MMCs they’ve either taken down the old routes highlighted or as the previous service 22 MMC sets still advertise the route.

Xplore is aiming to be a fully double decker operator, with only 7 single deckers remaining in Dundee.
That is very interesting, as there are 7 E400’s about to be replaced at Midland Bluebird by Yutong’s. Certainly numbers work but probably thinking too much into it.

There are no current plans for these E400s to leave Midland Bluebird.

I did wonder if that was the aim being mostly double decked, when did we get down to 7 single deckers? I thought we had more than that here?

Just looked on their fleet list, surprised most have gone and that was quick! (noted the 3 for Aberdeen)

The new Yutong DDs replaced a similar number of B7RLEs.

The last time I looked on the fleet list I remember we had a lot of singles, I’m guessing they’ve been split between the bases in Aberdeen, Glasgow and Larbert?

I’ll guess next step will have to be to replace the Geminis (7)?

It’s their plan for the future I’ve heard, hence why I said “aiming to be”.

Surprised these 06 plates are still around.
They were upgraded to Euro6 so ideal for the school related work which they generally operate.
McGills have a somewhat shoddy approach to vehicle presentation unfortunately
Do they?
I’m not sure the evidence on the streets supports your claim. The ones I see are generally presented pretty well.

There have been service changes registered with the Traffic Commissioner effective from 29th September, affecting services 1, 18, 22 and 32. The 22 and 32 are noted as variations to the timetable and the stopping places

I can’t speak for the 32 but some evening services on the 22 will serve Bellfield Street at the request of the Board of the Whitehall Theatre.

I wonder if they will put on more 32s on a Sunday? I believe the current timetable is the last one from Fintry is 1800?
