Only the above, an email late yesterday that had the subject in regards to your application for WMT but the content of the email was missing. I went on the 11th

That’s frustrating! Did you email back and ask if there was meant to be anything in it?

I did and the reply said they’ve withdrawn me as I have tested or decided to join another TOC.

Neither true Crewe was my first and only assessment centre and I sadly don’t have a job with another TOC

That’s incredibly frustrating!! Definitely argue it with them. I had to do that with my tests when they didn’t sent the tests but they send me an email saying I didn’t do them in time.

I’ve just had an email inviting me to stage 2 for shrewsbury :D

Just heard from the OPC that they are going to be booking more people into the assessments from the talent pool. Since being in the talent pool I have passed opc assessments with Chiltern. Does anyone know if the pass marks are the same for both? Don't really want to risk my results for Chiltern when I'm just awaiting a DMI.

You will have to do the DFFT with WMT as they're an enhanced standard.

Thank you. So would definitely have to attend then. Would you know if that was the only test I had to do and failed it would that have any bearing on my passes for the rest?

Yeah that's the only test you will have to do. I was in the same situation as you when I did mine. No you'll still have passed to a national standard but not the enhanced one so it won't affect your previous results.

Have you mentioned that you've since sat some assessments for another TOC? If you didn't meet WMR standard on those assessments then you may not be able to sit so worth checking. If you do need to resit any tests for WMR then your new results will override your previous results so be aware of that

Yes I replied to the opc email just waiting for a response. I don't think I would resit if it could affect the chiltern aplication tbh let's just hope it's just the DFFT.

Hello all, new here. I completed my OPC stage 2 assessments for New Street/Snow Hill yesterday, just waiting to hear if I passed my MMI… might be getting ahead of myself or tempting fate but I’m really curious about how the trainee process works, if I was successful. Does anyone know:

- How many positions are usually available?
- When the training course is due to start? - How many people are on a particular course?
- Where the course takes place?

This is my first time applying for a job in this industry and it’s hard to find the exact information that I’m looking for. Fingers crossed for everyone in the same boat!

Hi everyone, sorry to butt in half way through the conversation. I am invited to the OPC stage 1 assessments in Crewe in October. I have confirmed I will attend. Today I received an email asking me to reapply for the role. It says even if you are booked in for an opc assessment. Has anyone else received this? I can't see why I need to reapply when I'm already booked in for assessments, it doesn't make sense to me!

Yes I received the same email today. I have already passed opc with another operator so hoping that I have now had to put that on the aplication may help me move a bit quicker.

I got an email today saying I passed my stage 2!!! Completed it on 9th sept but yes it says I need to reapply on their new system. Progress isn’t reset though.

It says interview won’t take place for a while. I wonder what ‘a while’ is

I also received email from OPC on 5th that I've passed my stage1 and 2 yet no email for DMI yet. Anyone waiting too?

I also received an email saying interviews won’t take place for a while. Just gonna put it out of my mind for now, but would be nice to know whether ‘a while’ is a few weeks or a few months…

Hi,
If you're interested in trainee driver positions, LNWR is currently advertising, https://wmtrains.pinpointhq.com/

Drivers for: Bletchley, Coventry, Leamington Spa, Worcester. Closing 24th Oct.

It's my turn to give back. 6 years ago, someone posted that Bletchley depot was advertising for trainee drivers. I applied, and before the end of the year I was starting driver training. Don't delay though, it can be withdrawn if they have their quota of candidates.
