They don’t “get” track do they!Trying an ai image generator and editor
NopeThey don’t “get” track do they!
Thanks I think I wrote post brutalist in the prompt cause I wanted the platform to seem to use concrete and glass but in a modern way and not just in a brutalist architecture way.I do like that architecture![]()
Gemini produced some "gems" for me, this evening. Three of its more eclectic renders are attached. They don’t “get” track do they!
Seems as if AI, like many artists, can't 'do hands'. One bloke's looks like a pound of sausages.“I can count the contents of this box of eggs on the fingers of one hand“ said the person on the right.
It seems to vary depending on what image is being asked of AI algorithms.Seems as if AI, like many artists, can't 'do hands'. One bloke's looks like a pound of sausages.
The murder squad might be more interested as they appear to still have severed legs in them...!!Speaking of shoes, who left those over on the right after the two people? Unattended items will be blown up by the bomb squad.
Yeah I think you have to know the ai's strength and what words to use in promptsIt seems to vary depending on what image is being asked of AI algorithms.
I put the attached AI image onto another thread but it serves to show some AI renders of people can look plausible. There are, however, "meat lump hand" quirks on some bystanders.
Let me guess, for the middle one you asked for an EMU and got an emu? I would be interested to see the design guide used to put the roundel right near the platform edge!Elizabeth Line prompts, it gets the colours right and the view of the Lizz Line being modern
Have you tried a prompt for an electric multiple unit on the Waterloo & City line?^Yeah, it was a simple prompt Elizabeth Line emu
Lol, I prompted a class 378 electrostar emu and it didn’t post the overground train but did post an image of a train.
Maybe AI has solved a problem we did not know we really had.Let me guess, for the middle one you asked for an EMU and got an emu? I would be interested to see the design guide used to put the roundel right near the platform edge!
I can only imagine the look on the driver of the blue car's face when they come face to face with a locomotive. The madness of King Gemini.
On thread Show off your realistic AI railway images! I added a sunrise rural scene with five DB class 66s running light. My exactly identical descriptive input also generated - errrr - this![]()
It gives a whole new meaning to MotorRail!I can only imagine the look on the driver of the blue car's face when they come face to face with a locomotive.
The RUK guy is also so massive that he has two window support columns sticking into his torso. That will hurt in the morning. It gives a whole new meaning to MotorRail!

Railtours of yesteryear, when window hanging was de rigeur - especially when passing another tour operator's train.
The RUK shirted man must be boozed up: he's utterly legless!
Flailing from the train on a freight-only branch? My Lords!
Out of interest, did you specify class 37s? It seems to be Gemini's default 'British diesel'.Railtours of yesteryear, when window hanging was de rigeur - especially when passing another tour operator's train.![]()
A well-written piece of software!Out of interest, did you specify class 37s? It seems to be Gemini's default 'British diesel'.
Doors with drop lights were brilliant. Though I only ever used Mk3 in the HSTs on the MML and in the rakes on the WCML. I would have been on some Mk2 either on CrossCountry or when visiting East Anglia. Happier times that AI just does not seem to understand when deciding to place the flailers.Hello @pdeaves on thread Show off your realistic AI railway images! I specified the locos / units / rolling stock in all the AI images I've posted. Definitely Google Gemini has a better data source for classes 37, 66, IET, HST, 156, Black Five, A3. Class 47s I found I need detailed descriptive input of the 47 bodyside and roof; else Gemini adds in all manner of grilles and windows on the side and front!
Well... @Topological my 1980s teen self used to put a hand either side of the Mk1 or Mk2 door frame (I never leant on a door) - then I'd lean my upper body out as far as it was safe to see well ahead (and never on a blind side of a curve).
