Also I heard that you get 10 weeks annual leave? Is this true?
I see you're new to the forum - welcome!

A lot of questions have been answered over the previous 1400 posts, and the forum has a good search facility. If you have a look back starting at #822, annual leave is discussed quite thoroughly.

In essence, 7 weeks annual leave and 3 weeks banked rest days = 10 'weeks away from the job'. (CSA1s work 2.5hrs extra per week and 'bank' those hours to give them 3 extra weeks leave.)

Do have a look from post 822 and come back here if you have any further questions.

Good luck with you application!

Finally got a reply saying I passed booked for staged two in October
Well done, I know you've tried hard to get into TfL; hopefully your perseverance pays off.

Both have these have been answered within the last two pages.
It would be nice to still have a reply as I can’t seem to find the answer, I just wanted to know if anyone has gotten a start date earlier than a year, for example 6 months from their last interview stage etc.

Just wanted to ask, has anyone applied for CSA with little to no working background and been successful? I asked TFL before applying and they said experience isn’t necessary but wanted to know about other peoples experiences :)

I had a working background of just shy of 5 years when I applied. Stay at home mum etc. Low level jobs.

Got the job first time :)

Hi all when do you normally get your contracts ? As I start in 3 weeks
Should be soon… I got mines last week and I start in 3 weeks

Before you start training? Or do you do training and then wait for a start date
You get an offer letter once you’re successful, then you wait for a start date which will be the date you commence your training. Training is for 4 weeks.

Hi, I have recently applied for the CSA rule in TFL. I have passed the online assessment, and they asked me to book the interview date and time, but unfortunately, when I log in to my account to book the date and time, this is what I get instead of any date and time.

"You are unable to see internal vacancies because your account is not marked as internal. Please contact the help desk: TfL candidates call 0800 0155 071 or Email: 1729HelpdeskBSF@tfl.gov.uk GLA candidates call 0808 175 4246 or Email myHRHelpdeskGLA@tfl.gov.uk"

Any idea and how to solve it? Thanks

My interview was on 5th September Friday 08:45 and it got cancelled due to a train strike… now the date is delayed for another extra couple weeks . How unfortunate.

Presumably on another network somewhere? The LU strikes aren't planned to start until Sunday 7th September.

There is local action at Ruislip on 5/6th September. Not entirely sure why that would impact recruitment, but it's still unfortunate for @AM107 - hopefully it's not too long of a wait!

Is it for roleplay SBI? Recived email saying no dates available
No, the first interview after the online assessment.

3 extra weeks of wait but it’s fine , it’s teaching me patience.
Have you started your CSA2 role? @bluegoblin7

As I have said many times on this thread (despite some people taking a disliking to it?!) the best advice I can give to anyone after my decade plus experience and who is looking for a prospective career - let alone job - on the Underground: patience. Learn it, live it and you'll go far. Nothing moves quickly on the Tube...!

So what exact assistance could you give apart from calling a friend, trying a new card etc..

My scenario the lady didn't have her phone or another card or money on her
You can only do what you can do… we’re not superhuman. It’s not our fault they don’t have other means to pay, no one to contact etc.
As long as you have suggested everything you can, you’ve done your job :)

Why was it cancelled?
Probably because of the strike action
