Interesting. I thought 44871 and 45407 were outbased at Fort William for the Jacobite this summer. Perhaps it is on it's way back to Carnforth soon.

Well 45212 needs an overhaul so maybe it will go for it’s overhaul 44871 will come down to cover for it and one of the Jacobite services will be diesel hauled unless they swap because it wouldn’t make sense to take 45212 out of service for an overhaul in the middle of peak season

What happened with 47245/47802 yesterday? Street word of problems on the outward run. Very late into York on the return and held there for ages on the return?

Was there a loco change in Colgate sidings? (47832 & 57012 noted powering off the parcel sidings at York before the tour arrived)

47245 failed on the tour yesterday and was replaced at York Holgate loop with 57012.

47832 then took the broken 47245 into the Parcel Sidings and left it there.

47832 then ran back to Newark for ECML Thunderbird duties.

47245 seemed fine leading all day on Friday. Monday failed in morning near Greenhill junction, pushed from rear by 802, diverted round Edinburgh suburban line so train could reverse by Craigentinny, so 802 leading. 802 ground to halt near Longniddry. Blown fuse apparently, replaced and got going again (delay was long enough to see Highland Chieftain diverted from Edin to Newcastle via Carlisle). Changes per above at York so good engine on rear to work ECS from KX. 57012 powering from rear from York to help 802.

From my observation at the Castleford stop this morning the 57 was doing most of the work.

Anybody know what’s going on at York? The tour had a 45 minute booked dwell at Holgate sidings but still hasn’t left after an additional 15mins?

There are also two paths in on RTT, can anyone explain that?

On the move now, an hour late.

Doesn’t appear to be doing much work here either and was towed home by a Diesel from York. Makes me wonder if it was fully fit all day.

There is still extreme fire risk in Yorkshire, so I’m not sure you can put the lack of exertion down to mechanical issues. Tangmere has a bit of a reputation as a fire starter!

34067 went back to Carnforth from York (with one working diesel and one demic) due to gauging issues in a tunnel on the Copy Pit line (westbound only).

44871 hasn't left Fort Wiliam today due to failure. The Royal Duchy on Sunday now to be diesel-hauled.

Couldn’t they move 34067 down to haul Sunday’s trip?

Rail Adventure website lists a Pendle Salesman for tomorrow, however it doesn't seem to exist on the WCR website.
Was this a mistake by the Rail Adventure or has the tour been cancelled?

The tour is still showing on the Railway Herald Railtours website but there is nothing on Realtime Trains.
