I know someone was asking about the most scenic route to use in Slovenia recently, so this might help that OP as well as others.

Slovenia Tourism posted their regular newsletter to me this morning, and it has a segment on 'beautiful train journeys' in the country.

See here:

FWIW, I believe the Sava Valley route from Ljubljana to Zidani Most is one of the most underrated scenic lines on the continent. It's perhaps at its best around 16.00 - 17.00 in spring, coming from Zidani Most, when the sun is shining through the spring blossom on many of the trees on the riverbanks.

That is a very nice webpage. I have done several of the rail routes and the museum (and the Postojna caves) and can vouch for them all.

Yes, that stretch is lovely. The station bar at Zidani Most is a great place to stop and watch the trains rolling by.

Be even better when Ljubljana has a station back, what's it look like currently? There was a reduced service and locals being cut short at Šiška last time I was there

It was a mess a couple of weeks ago. It seemed to be bus replacement in many directions. We would have had a couple of extra days real travel if we hadn't gone into and out of Ljubljana!

I have to agree that this is probably the most amazing railway I've ever experienced anywhere in the world.
