SWR outgoing Metro fleet withdrawals (complete)

There were five pairs of class 455 on platforms 1 to 6 at 0815 this morning. By 0835 they were all gone and four class 701 were in those platforms.

If anyone from SWR is reading this, 5721 and 5735 are allocated incorrectly.

5721+5731 are on 0847 Waterloo to Chessington South.
5714+5735 are on 0906 Waterloo to Hampton Court.

Subject to the usual caveats as to whether the allocation data passed down to RTT is correct, but it looks like 5913 is about to re-enter service this afternoon for the first time in nearly seven months following corrosion repairs. I think that this is the last unit to receive corrosion repairs in Kilmarnock?

Didn't last long. Already changed to 5742.

Short platform at Virginia water on the London bound services is the problem. Only a 4 car can stop there. If it’s an 8 they have to skip the stop

It is definitely 5742. Slightly late off depot. No doubt 5913 failed. Better to fail where it did rather than at Waterloo with the round trip then being cancelled.

36 class 455s out today. 17 pairs and two singles. There were three other pairs out yesterday that were not running today. One such pair was 5739+5852 which failed at Clapham Junction yesterday evening.

It was a late change yesterday but there should be nothing stopping 5913 from going into service today. From what I understand there is sufficient coverage of the 455 fleet now so there is no pressing need to get it into service.

Was out today and I haven't seen 5913 at all and there are no allocations for today as far as I'm aware, I have seen 5914 today though, haven't seen her in a while so I think she was sitting around for a while and this is one of her first days back, can someone confirm that for me please.

It may just be sitting spare for the time being as all diagrams are covered and there is sufficient coverage.

5914 has been actively out and about recently.

Is 5740 still a runner or has it been withdrawn? I haven't seen it running for weeks.

36 out again today, 17 pairs, 5729 this morning and 5703 this afternoon on the booked solo diagram. Sunday's failure pair 5739+5852 are back out. Most pairs are the same as Monday.

11 new units today compared with Monday.

5873 (with 5742)

In service on Monday but not today.

5710 (was with 5729)

I'm not really in the loop with that side of the activities so unfortunately don't know.

5854 is also being prepared for a move to Newport, but it may not be this following week.

A number of others are stopped either because of lack of miles one way or another, or big faults which may well not see them return to service, so it could be any of those. Ones I'm aware of are 5707, 5708, 5731, 5733, 5750, 5866, and 5903.

Is 5750 still at Bournemouth depot? The reason I ask is on occasions in the last few weeks I have seen part of a 455 in a gap in the trees along the A338, Wessex Way. Enough of it is visible to identiny it as a 455/7and it is in the same position.

Lots and lots of MA related issues I think, stretching back many months. I don't think anyone would be sorry to see her go.

5733 was only in service earlier this week, any idea what’s happened to it?

5856 has also not been seen in service since last weekend so wonder if that’s stopped.
