Sights of London -
1) Clowns' capers cause comedic concourse chaos!
2) Barnum & Bailey's famous circus train has nothing on this!
3) Devoted Sisters; possibly on pilgrimage from Nuneaton to Nunhead. Why? I'm nun the wiser...

I do like that, @Iskra 8-) I wonder how closely it matches to... your layout backscene. :D

Gorge-ous day - inspired by Lune Gorge, a brace of EMD 12cyl power plants reverberate noises around a valley with a heavy intermodal freight.

For good measure - Network Rail's New Measurement Train reflects on being held at a red. The section ahead will clear quicker than that weather...
The road in the Lune Gorge inspired picture has some curiosities.

However, Gemini has nailed the insistence of some to drive in the middle lane when the left lane is completely free.

Light entertainment -
1)1A throwback to the '60s, as a Standard 4MT drifts across the scene tender-first running light engine at frosty dawn.
2) Local yobs have already left their mark beside the line; and two youths are intent on causing operating disruption for one light engine (and a probable hospital visit for themselves).
3) Those lights: a Sprinter? Who cares: get to the wall refuge!

A couple of 'holiday snaps' which I took whilst interrailing in the late 90s.
1. Fellow tourists and local lads waiting to board one of the units in the narrow-gauge lines in Sicily, with a loading gauge that makes them look more like trams and with an indecipherable logo/advert on the front.
2. The older and slightly more elegant units on the beautiful coastal line, which still have the 19th century railway crest on the front
3. An outer suburban unit somewhere in the Benelux, which looks to have been introduced quite recently when this was taken

The higher black text with the red roundel emblem looks like chinese script. The lower text looks like several logos have been applied on top of each other!

Imports - this container handling hub has overseas products aplenty. Coincidentally, both GBRf class 66s here began their working life abroad: 66734 in Germany and 66791 in Sweden.

English Electric - electricity generated from the distant power station, dwarfs that of the EE 12 cylinder engine in the class 37. Traces of its former Load Haul livery are still apparent.

Fabulous creations @Siimo 8-) I really like the "old film colour cast" effect - and those "period" clothing styles are priceless!
Let's hope those twisted pantographs were sorted promptly...

The containers apparently arrived by longship if the dockie's headwear is any clue. I hope that's a radio he's holding and not an axe.

The arrival - Friends and families unite on disembarking. On the adjacent track, the eruption of diesel fumes is no doubt accompanied by the splendid noise of a 12 cylinder Sulzer.

Bunch of Fives - these Stanier Black Fives pack quite a punch, in scenes inspired by the Alton to Winchester line (and which still operates in part, as the Mid Hants Railway).

I added two-way radios, definitely no axes.:D I couldn't resist adding the Viking helmet too; because...
1) GBRf 66791 was Swedish. 2) Containers with IKEA's finest.
;)

London calling - inspired by my seven years' living in London's Docklands. DLR trains are rather stylised; but the apartments and waterfront look similar to my intended Limehouse Basin.

Homecoming -
1) The engine draws away from the train, as the British Army soldier greets his delighted wife and ecstatic little one.
I'll forgive Gemini for rendering a blood & custard Mk1, instead of my described Period 2 era panelled Corridor Third...
2) War-weary soldiers await the final leg of the journey home.

Is it time the two AI photo threads were merged?
The two threads have different purposes:
Mad AI generated picture focuses on "never wazza" design trains and surreal images.
That keeps them distinct from this thread's aim, which is to show AI results that look "close to real thing".

So you've found a way to get Gemini to modify the same image?

Nilghiri's tea - inspired by south India's Nilghiri Blue Mountain Railway. The riot of colours, the scent of fresh tea plants and Victorian era rack-and-pinion steam locomotives.
A trip I made 20 years ago - and the memories still feel fresh.

Last rites - the melancholy of the railway scrapyard.

So you've found a way to get Gemini to modify the same image?
Nope; merely by generating about 70 images, from that same very detailed description. All I did was change the locomotive number in my descriptive input, after circa 20-25 repetitions.

@chrisjo Did you have any joy in rendering a plausible Bulleid Light Pacific? Or any Bulleid for that matter? I haven't...

No, none.

I have another question, how do you persuade Gemini to give you a view from someone standing on the ground? I only ever seem to get views that look like they were taken from a drone.

California dreamin' - I will leave @ac6000cw to scrutinise the accuracy of his AI namesake. :D A contrast, the spartan cab of a Conrail EMD GP40, as the Philly worker dreams of Cali'.
I've always liked Santa Fe red-silver "warbonnet" paint scheme. These AI paint schemes combined real with "what if". An EMD SD75M lurks in one image - can you spot it?

Try starting your description At track level, trackside or on a station platform before describing all your image elements.
It still might take a few generating-cycles, to get it spot on.

Which one is meant to be the AC6000CW? (as none of them really look like one  )

In the first photo, the rear loco on the right track? (it's the only wide-cab with EMD-style windshields and radiator 'wings')

Yes, Gemini's data construct has managed to add grilles and nose steps, but missed off the cab access door. I'm sure the radiator detail is a bit off, too.
And, yes, that SD75M sprouted a flared rad'!
Gemini has done better with the Geep than I expected. Those trackside yard lamps and that point, however...

I tried a GP60, SD50 and SD45; but all came back "mongrels".
I thought Gemini's data sources and algorithms would render US traction better than it has with UK traction....

I think it's missing a dynamic brake grill behind the cab (there should be three vertically-slatted grills plus a mesh one), and the radiator on an AC6000 is huge - extending back beyond the hood and overhanging the rear porch.

End -
1) The final hours beckon for these 47s. Sorry @D1511 :D
2) The last cuts have been made on these locomotives - only number panels remain, possibly bound for Collectors Corner.

Good point. The AI renders of the radiator group, are actually closer resemblance to those on AC4400CW.
Those AI dynamic brake renders also look a closer match to the AC4400CW, from the online images I've seen.

These scenes echo my visits to MC Metals, Crewe Works and Swindon Works; and inspired by the excellent thread BR in the mid '80s by @lostwin(m)

@chrisjo how did you get on with "human POV" trackside / platform AI images?

Of course being a bit of a paint froth nerd, I remember 47050 as having more yellow around the windows than on most of the standard early liveried locos… ;)

Indeed and I photographed it in 1987 8-) I wrote my Gemini description to include the nuances of 050's livery, including larger cabside numbers white cantrail stripe and the lack of black window surrounds.
I had four results with spot-on livery - but with woeful shape and detail - a "not at all 47"!
Then I finally got an acceptable body shape - but the wrong version of Railfreight livery....

Why @chrisjo and I do this, I'll never know! :D

Five in the Fells - afternoon's sun already lengthens shadows, as a Black Five hauls a monumental relief service in the final year of steam. Farmers and Photters alike, are out to record the event. A Southern Region Mk1 interloper is near the rear of the train.

It grudgingly agrees to give me the POV I ask for, every now and then.

Three EWS sheds (I asked for four) at Tata Steel Port Talbot, in happier times. Those are supposed to be Tata Brush Bagnall shunters in the background.

The second image is more what I asked for by way of content, but it's reverted to 'footbridge view'.

I do like these Port Talbot images @chrisjo 8-)
The steelworks' shape and overall ambience have rendered really well.
Yes, Gemini's "changing perspectives" happens for me, too. Frustrating when it generates images with all the right data elements and lighting I instructed; but spoiled by a "wrong" Point Of View...

Nice images!

For about 40 years from 1950, Port Talbot had a fleet of five US-built Alco S1 'switchers' as works shunters (some info/pictures), so if you wanted to try a 'vintage diesel' image you could try those in the background with some 37s/47s/56s in the foreground?
