Does FastJP have a Depart after/Arrive by toggle switch?

It seems to be stuck on "Depart after" on its journey planner. I know I can often miss the blinking obvious, so is this really the case?

Sorry. Had to edit the heading due to getting my conjunctions muddled up.

The FastJP site doesn't, but the underlying journey planner does and so will the retail sites which use it, like the forum's site.

As it happens, I am seeing the person who maintains it tomorrow, so I will ask them then; I've set myself a reminder to ask them and edit this post accordingly.

Wait, FastJP, BRfares, and Trainsplit are all linked?
No, at least not any more.

FastJP was created by the founders of Trainsplit and BRfares.

However, the founder of BRfares is no longer involved in FastJP.

The founder of Trainsplit sold the company to Ferries Trains Planes Ltd (edit: the company name has since become Raileasy Ltd)

The only 'link' now is that Trainsplit/Raileasy use FastJP to provide their journey planning solution.

Trainsplit/Raileasy is a retailer, while FastJP is a data provider (who also provides data to other retailers).

The forum's ticketing site is an affiliate site of Trainsplit/Raileasy, and therefore uses the FastJP data.

If you want something else for your list, another feature I'd like to see is a button to switch origin and destination stations round.

There's a variety of things I think the "new" (ish) site does worse at vs the old one:

  • Extra time cannot be combined with "P"/"S" type included UICs, really don't understand why the input is shown when "Must change" isn't selected.

Pointless extra time input
  • Hitting tab doesn't move to the next input field properly when entering origins/destinations, instead the keypress is swallowed to select a station
  • The old site let you hit enter to issue a search; no longer does anything with the new one
  • Mystery exclamation mark icon that does nothing - what is this thing supposed to do? Clicking just jumps to the top of the page.. No tooltip.
  • Mystery plus icon that doesn't do anything - what is this supposed to do? Clicking it does nothing. No tooltip.

Misc requests/observations:
  • Why can I expand fares and see .. nothing?
    • expand.gif
  • It would be nice if it supported planning return journeys
  • It would be nice if a numeric search type could be provided
  • It's slightly odd to me that fares are supported without collecting/allowing specification of passenger details

The general answer is there's not been an update to the "public facing" side of the site in over a year as I've had limited time for it other than the odd "spot fix". The development website has fixes for a lot of the issues noted but the changes are being held as there's a lot larger piece of work in the pipeline relating to the website. As such there's going to be a large website update next month.

Regarding arrive before/depart after. This functionality will finally be returning alongside "depart after and arrive before" as an option. The arrive before is currently only available if logged in.

Regarding Adams list. All are known.
The ! should toggle alerts, but that's disabled due to some issues.
The + button technically saves the journey but when not logged in you can't see the sidebar.
Expanding fares if logged in gives debug information. Part the reason fares are disabled by default is that the functionality needed to be there for the internally used recall functionality. We've changed how fares are displayed in the update and as such they will soon be enabled by default.
