Anyone else still waiting to hear anything whatsoever? Still hoping that no news is good news at the moment!
Yes i’m in the same boat as you, got the ‘with the hiring manager’ email about a month ago and still waiting for either rejection or invitation, good luck to you!

Don't think any Manchester applicants have been invited to test yet - Preston and Newcastle have had responses.
Manda on the previous page said she had been invited after applying at Pic

For those invited to the assessment centre stage, has anyone booked for next Tuesday (5th) morning in Leeds?
I've got the test at Leeds on Tuesday 5th but with Northern

Indeed, but that's the only one we've had posted on here compared to a far few for Newcastle and Preston.

So for someone who has joined the forum 7 minutes prior to posting inferring that those getting invites for Pic should have received it by now is false.

Well, I have an invite from Piccadilly and know internally that York applicants haven’t heard yet. So take that as you will.

That's good to know others may have been invited for Pic applicants, hopefully more find out this week. It's clear they are doing it per depot so no doubt York will follow

Just wondering, out of curiosity mainly. Out of those who applied for Newcastle and have been invited to an assessment day, when is your assessment day? Is it a fairly quick turnaround from receiving the invite? TIA

Good luck to those who have psychometrics this week. Remember, don’t overthink it, listen to the instructions and follow them. Accuracy mixed with speed is the key. Don’t put unnecessary pressure on yourself, there is enough pressure to start with without you beating yourself up.

I still haven’t received any reply email from York. With people having assessments this week, are they all done in one week?

So I should be an expecting a rejection email?

Or is there still time?

I’ve always taken it as no news is good news to be honest. Not sure if they’d all be done in one week, not sure how it works in all fairness but until you hear otherwise, you’re always in with a shout.

Applied for Manchester Pic and have my assessment day on Wednesday.

Am I right in thinking that it's only the paper tests on the day?

I believe TPE do two parts and that’s what it suggests on the job advert. If that is the case then yes, it will only be the paper tests on the first day. This should’ve been explained to you, on your invite regarding what’s involved.

Not really clear on the email that was sent, as it says you should allow all day for the assessment but there was a morning or afternoon slot to choose from when booking the day (I booked the afternoon one).

They sent the training material as two different pdf's, one being for the paper test and one for the computer tests, so you're probably right with it being on separate days.

I see, if there’s separate two PDFs then that would definitely suggest 2 days. Having said that, 100% concentrate on the paper one first, that will always be the first part of the psychometrics.

Good luck

No, there will be several groups of people doing testing. They have invited an initial number to fill up the test centre for the dates they've set out for. There will be more subsequent groups until they've pretty much invited everyone they want to complete testing

Has anyone had any email regarding Driver Manager Interviews? And the dates of these? I.e those who already sat and passed the OPC assessments

I have heard nothing since sending my NI number to them on 25/07. I am hoping, no news is good news regarding it. I passed my psychometrics in Feb at an ‘Enhanced’ standard and although this was with Northern, I am hoping that radio silence from TPE currently, means they have accepted those results. We’ll see.

How did you get on?

Have mine tomorrow, quite nervous.
I’ve got mine on Thursday, I’m not feeling too nervous. I think I’ve just got the mindset of - I’ve done well to get this far, everything happens for a reason!

Good luck!!!

I sat my psychometrics yesterday with northern. I passed but not to enhanced due to the group bourdan. I spoke to the trainer at the end and he said if other companies have an enhanced requirement, it could be more or less than what Northern require.

TPE will probably make sure you're passed all tests to their requirements.

If you passed enhanced at northern, are you in the talent pool for them?

Fingers crossed I get this far, but does anyone know the timeline of training? For example how long is the classroom portion and then traction?

Also, if I have a holiday already booked for next year, would TPE honour this during my training? Or would I have to cut my losses and cancel? Any info is much appreciated!

Any class room training would need to be completed in full. So if your holiday falls at the same time then no, most likely not... You would be expected to prioritise the training.

Fair do’s. That makes sense.

I had to move a holiday when I started at the academy as a conductor at Northern, so I'm assuming it's the same at TPE, no holidays whilst training.

We got told we wouldn’t hear anything until next week at the earliest (and probably end of next week)
