Frustratingly, we are too far from any of Dorking's three railway stations and all other buses have finished for the day, so we remain with the 465. We sheepishly board the 2045 Transport UK service 465 the short hop up to Dorking (Railway Station), arriving there at 2050 on Monday.

With only the 15 available we have no option but to back track and therefore take the 06.35 return service alighting at Netley Station at 06.42 on Tuesday.

I used to contribute here and there years ago and just remembered about it a couple days ago. Good to be back!

We enter the station, just in time to board the 1556 South Western Railway service to Romsey that arrives there at 1703 on Tuesday.
General query.

This service calls at Romsey at both 1619 and 1703. Are we doing the 'figure of 6' loop via Southampton Central and Chandlers Ford, or just going to Romsey and getting off on the first occasion?

I was hoping it would be allowed on this quiz to have traversed the entire published timetabled journey ending at 1703. Do we often come across timetabled journeys such as this on this quiz?

Not often, but I think this is the first time we've come across it where we've boarded at Salisbury in that direction. So we'll go with it as it's a good loop!

Leaving the station, we take the seven minute walk along Alma Road to the stop of the same name and board the 1727 Bluestar service 4 to Southampton (West Quay), arriving there at 1820 on Tuesday.
