Stations not allowing photography for no reason

Just been to Barking station and have had security threaten to kick me out due to taking photos of 357s , the security staff said it was "illegal to take photos of the trains".

This is the first station I have ever heard that at out of any station I have taken photos , I know you have to sign in to take photos but barking is not a network rail managed station. I very well know it is not illegal to take photos of trains.

Has anyone else ever been told to leave or removed from a station due to spotting or taking photos there?

Hello @sad1e If Barking is still managed by c2c then here's c2c's policy definition:
"While we welcome travelling customers taking the occasional picture for their private use, any filming or photography which is for publication, professional or commercial purposes requires permission in advance from c2c."

I'd deffinately send C2C a email. as long as your not being a total mellon photography should be ok.
