I've travelled on several Evero trains which were running late. In all cases, the scrolling display of arrival times at stations not yet reached always remained at the timetable booked one. As an extreme example, on a North Wales one heavily delayed at Colwich, it showed a Holyhead arrival time several minutes before the actual time as we approached Bangor ( did photograph it but it hardly seems worth loading).

The First Class passenger seems to be short changed in that the first few seats from the vestibule have no overhead storage because of the low roof under the pantograph - and they are generally airline as well, so no storage between seat backs either. Curiously, a difference between the two classes is that in one (can't recollect which is which), the table seats very neatly line up with a window, on the other the blank space between windows exactly lines up with the table. I can't think of why the two types are different. There's also the continuous noise and vibration from the pantograph if the one at the First Class end is being used.

I am still working on the protocol of action when, being in an airline seat behind another and sharing one window, the occupant of the other seat decides tio pull the window blind down thereby blocking my view as well. 222s, for example, have curtains which prevents that problem.

Not in First - it's all subjective, but for me the First class Pendolino seat is significantly more comfortable
I had my first First trip in an Evero last week, and I agree the Pendolino is better and generally an all round better experience. The Evero has all the bad things of the IET fleet plus a non reclining First class seat. Will be actively avoiding going forward.

Except, of course, the seat does recline using a small lever on the front edge of it...

Had my first experience on a Class 807 Evero today from Liverpool to London. Pleasant experience overall; the seats were much better than the Class 802 with TransPennine Express, and it is roomier than a Pendolino despite looking a bit narrower on the outside. Taking the curves only slid my phone slightly, but maybe it'll be a different experience at 125 compared to 110. I still prefer the Pendolinos, but the Everos are a good secondary fleet and something I'm glad to have enabling a second hourly Liverpool service. Clearly the good kind of Class 80x unit on the network.

ooooh, does it?! I looked for the standard IET lever and didn't find it.
Yes, there's a plastic lever along the front of the seat cushion, under where one of your legs would sit. You can pull that out and then the seat base will slide forward/back.

I travelled on the 09.56 from Rhyl to Crewe last Wednesday. It was my first journey on an Evero Class 805. I could have done without the sprint along the platform at Rhyl as it was a 10 car service and my seat was in the penultimate coach! To describe the seats (Standard Class) as firm would be a somewhat indulgent comment! Glad I was transferring onto the 11.09 Class 390 from Crewe to Edinburgh in 1st Class - a very comfortable seat with excellent service from the catering staff and information from both Train Managers. Avanti staff on the Evero were helpful too; but I'll not be rushing to travel on any Class 80x again soon.
