The first train that I noticed with 5910 was yesterday morning;

5 months to the day since its last day in passenger use. Maybe if it had been known back in February what the situation now is with 455s, that repairs taking 5 months would not have been authorised? I may well be wrong about that though.

I've updated the withdrawals list on the front page.
But, just to add for the benefit of members claiming I "can't be bothered" or "haven't got the willingness" to update the list, I do want to add that it was created in 2021, when COVID was still around and I was an 18-year old student with two classes a week. It is now mid-2025 and I have a full time job, small business, master's degree and separate workplace diploma to juggle. If others are lucky enough to have the free time to interact with the thread more regularly, that's great, but my absence is not down to a lack of willingness or laziness.
But it's updated now, anyway. I'm personally looking forward to the fresh uniformity of homogeneous 701 (and 458/4?) operation. The 455s are well past their sell-by date.

One minor thing I’ve spotted, 455907 was scrapped back in August 2022. It was the first unit to head to Newport by rail.

It used to be 455743 but was changed during a Move to Wimbledon after Wimbledon Depot gained BS5750 quality accreditation. Hence why it took the 5750 up and lost 5743 numbering. Pretty sure it had a name plate showcasing this but I think was was removed.

5702 - still on corrosion repair

I oddly cannot recall anything about 5906 and cannot find it on the system so it must mean it was one of the earlier ones to be scrapped.
