The various overhauls noted above and throughout the thread must be done at pre-set intervals, based on mileage. Once a train has ‘run out’ of miles the overhaul must be done before it can run again - unlike a car, you can’t just skip a service!

This is also the reason that Transport for Wales have been withdrawing class 150s and sending them to the shredder, while other TOCs who also operate 150s struggle on with DMU shortages - the TfW units are due major and very costly overhauls, and nobody wants to pay for them, so off for scrap

TFW don’t own them, it’s Porterbrook that are sending them for scrap and as you correctly say, nobody wants to pay for the C6

No, it has got an MA Fault which will be investigated tomorrow. It will be fixed but no timescale at present.

Not exactly too sure if it will be another scrap drag because I've been looking all over the place and I haven't seen any workings that are heading to Newport on that day, but we will just have to wait and see because it could pop up last minute

The ‘0’ means light engine. However it’s not unknown for the headcode to be changed last-minute and for it to actually run as 5Z76.

In this case, the two light loco moves are being run by different operators. The one from Wembley is ROG who have done the 455 scrap moves and the one to Eastleigh is GBRF who move the 701s around (amongst others).

There is a GBRF 5Q76 drag from Bicester Mod of a 701 on Tuesday and would expect the loco to detach then run as 0Z76 to Eastleigh. For the one from Wembley, if the move is on Wednesday it might not appear until tomorrow night. As always with these kinds of moves there's a chance the moves get cancelled at pretty short notice. Sometimes the other schedule never gets entered and the light loco part gets removed or sometimes cancelled on the day.

Does anyone have the statuses of 5701, 5708, 5728, 5741, 5856, 5859, 5861 and 5862 as I’ve noticed that they’ve all not been in service for a while

I've seen 5701, 5862, 5728, 5741, 5708 and 5861 recently but I don't know about the others, maybe they are being used for spair parts and are going to be taken to the cutter soon :(

So let me get this straight, will 5868 be withdrawn immediately after TGG or is it going to return to service following MA repairs? Keep hearing so many conflicting reports about its status.
