TICKET HELP needed for Thursday

We are going to Gatwick from Arundel this Thursday night, and have already bought tickets
NOW we see the last train is already cancelled and there is a replacement bus that only runs as far as Pulborough
Because of the last train being cancelled, can we travel from Ford, and change at Brighton?

For some reason the replacement bus is shown as 3 buses splitting at Pulborough and Horsham and reaching Gatwick at 0137.
The normal train runs direct from Ford to Gatwick via Hove at 2255.

Technically you should refund your tickets and buy new ones from Ford at the same fare (!) but I suspect in practice you would be fine to travel via Ford, though you'd have a long-ish wait there.

Ford Group is a routeing point for Arundel, and passes the fare check. Via Brighton Group is then a mapped route with maps CW and LB. As all tickets between Arundel and Gatwick are valid for break of journey the OP’s existing tickets are valid to start their journey short at Ford and travel via Hove.

In actuality, buying tickets at Ford at that time of night is not possible
We'll either get the last train that does run, or, get a taxi to Ford
