Salisbury to London any permitted- Route Reading allowed?

[adc82140]

I'm travelling Salisbury to Whitechapel next week on an any permitted Anytime day return Salisbury to Zones 1-4 ticket.

Don't fancy fiddling about on the tube in this heat, am I valid to go via Reading and pick up the Elizabeth Line there?

Thanks.

Yes, that's fine. Map PZ in the Routeing Guide allows travel via Reading.

Many thanks.

You could also take a non-stop or limited stop GWR service to Paddington and change to the Elizabeth Line there. That's likely to be faster. There's a lot of stops between Reading and London on Elizabeth trains.

That's the plan.
