Hi all, I wonder if anyone could give assistance here,

In a few weeks, I will be trying to travel on the declassified Chilterns Business Zone on their loco hauled services. I always remember these services being formed of 6 passenger coaches, but I have been looking on RealTime Trains, and they seem to be formed of 5. Can anyone confirm whether they have (very recently) gotten rid of the business zone area or not?

I will still very happily travel on the loco set, this is just to confirm my suspicions!

Still have the GFW vehicle with the declassified Business Zone as it contains the accessible toilet.

A quick check of RTT shows the loco-hauled sets as being 6 coaches - they show as 6 when looking at a list of departures.

Perhaps you've just misread it or accidentally looked at a DMU working?

I was looking at this service before, but I think it may have been a one off. Looking at other dates it has been running with 6. Thanks!

There was one set running around recently with only 5 instead of the usual 6 coaches. Happens occasionally when there's a fault on one of the coaches and they take it out of the set (bit easier than with a DMU!).

Unfortunately, one of the remaining coaches had an air conditioning fault as well, which made for a rather crowded and unpleasant journey home in the evening peak, though Chiltern had at least put packs of free bottled water out on each table.

Don't know if all the sets are back to full strength yet, the ones I used on Thursday were the usual 6 cars, but there was a forlorn looking mk3 parked on its own in Wembley Depot.
