Fareham to Waterloo cancellations tomorrow (June 19th)

Hi All - I'm travelling from Fareham to Waterloo tomorrow afternoon on a Super Off Peak Return to Doncaster and have noticed that the xx:58 services have been cancelled. There is no accompanying explanation on the National Rail site.

Is there any chance that the xx:24 services will be cancelled and is my ticket valid via other routes please - the site seems to suggest a change at Southampton but "can't find a fare" or at Fratton but is "Unable to show stopping pattern for this service. Please try again later" which seems a bit dodgy.

None of these allows Fareham-Southampton-Waterloo.

PD allows via Portsmouth Group, including Fratton. Would be hard to think you’d have a problem with this.

I used to live inbetween Portchester and Fareham and went via Southampton with no problem on the non-stop REP+TC services to London, but I don’t think it’s now a “permitted route”.

You may well have no problem with this route today, regardless.

Via Eastleigh is fine of course.

In my day there were no through services anyway, but the Eastleigh connection was always held.

I’m confused by these xx:58 services you mention, except for a few early morning peak extras the only direct services in the afternoon and evening are those at xx:24?

If you look for Friday there are direct trains at 15:58 and 16:58.

There's a few mid-afternoon extras up the Portsmouth Direct which start from Fareham - cancelled this week due to ongoing signalling problems caused by the heat - see journeycheck: https://www.journeycheck.com/swr/

Ah right, I had assumed travel via Eastleigh.
