Left Luggage in Portsmouth

I'm visiting Portsmouth soon and it would be handy to drop off my luggage somewhere for a few hours. I think I'm right that this is not possible at any of the stations.

Googling brings up some sites that offer storage in shops, I imagine, but they are rather vague on the exact locations. Can anyone recommend places, preferably near Portsmouth and Southsea station?

If you have a Stasher account, you can get luggage storage in most Premier Inn hotels for about £7/day. I did this recently in Manchester.

I've used stasher.com recently to store luggage at a Premier Inn. It suggests that the Premier Inn in a minute's walk from the station.

Are you alighting at Portsmouth and Southsea (Commercial Road area for shops)? Or at Portsmouth Harbour (Gunwharf Quay shops and food, Historic Naval Dockyard, Isle of Wight ferry connection)?

I am wracking my brain as to whether lockers are at the bus station on The Hard, adjacent to Portsmouth Harbour railway station.

Premier Inn Portsmouth Dockyard is about five minutes from Harbour station. The City hotel is right next to the Town station, but you do have to go round the front and back under the line.

A quick update in case it helps anyone else. I left the case at the Premier Inn next to the station who have an informal system for left luggage for anyone - you don't need to be staying there. They ask for a donation to Great Ormond Street which of course I was happy to do. I'm not sure if this is an arrangement at all Premier Inns or just a one off at Portsmouth.
