Many of us know that Avanti is a great place to get Boundary Zone tickets, but apparently, they have started retailing tickets to destinations such as "London International (CIV)" and "Rowsley Station" on their own webpage, which to my information were "only" sold by Raileasy/Trainsplit in the past (as in, they were the only website(s) that would offer them; ticket offices have theoretically always been able to do so).

Am I the only one to notice this, or did I miss out on something?

Can you actually go through with such searches and generate itineraries and prices for London International CIV for example or does it just display as a potential destination in the drop-down?

It does work for London International (CIV)!
For Rowsley station it just returns an itinerary to Matlock with a note that 'This journey does not have any fares available.'

Is that actually a ticket to London International though, or is it one to Zone U1?

Trying it for a couple of stations in the Network Area yesterday it was the latter.

The Avanti site has allowed you to search to London Intl CIV for a while now, but as CyrusWuff points out, it won't often sell you that actual ticket!

The forum's site/TrainSplit will use a feature in its journey planner to force your tickets to be issued to London International (CIV) if you search to or from that station. It appears Avanti do not use/do not have access to a similar feature for their journey planner.
