Pathed as a Class 6 is interesting, normally a Steam Loco being towed would be a Class 0 or 5 depending on whether or not it's got the support coach with it. I guess if Camelot isn't mainline cleared (which I'm fairly sure it isn't) then it doesn't count as a loco?

Re the change at East Croydon - it's just a change in trailing weight, not power (goes from Diesel Loco trailing 600t to Diesel Loco trailing 715t), which is almost certainly just about how it's been planned in the system, rather than reflecting any change in formation.

From the Bluebell Facebook page, looks like it's 34059 (Sir Archibald Sinclair) being moved this evening:

The cats out of the bag!
34059 'Sir Archibald Sinclair' is heading away onto mainline metals this evening as she's taken up to London to take part in a private open day in the next few days.
This will be the first time that the loco has ventured onto the mainline since 1966 and will be taken up as part of a consist to the capital.

66502 is the diesel. (Screengrab from E Grinstead webcam of 66052 during reversal to drop off ballast wagons from the look)

Heard the loco horn when I was out with the dog this evening, missed the 66 and most of Sir Archie but saw the tender and wagons passing over the viaduct on the approach to East Grinstead

* Since seeing the pictures it was actually the rear of the support coach that the dog and I saw not the tender

I was watching it on and off on the three webcams - it was a complicated shunt to place 34059 and Maunsell support coach inbetween the various ballast wagons which I presume were there for braking reasons.

Return trip would appear to be Saturdays 1702 7Z73 Willesden Euroterminal to East Grinstead Sdgs then 2037 6Z82 to Wembley Receptions
