is London terminals-Manchester any permitted route, valid via Sheffield?. Im looking do London-Sheffield-Cleethorpes-Manchester-Euston, so is London terminals-Manchester return, and Sheffield-Cleethorpes return best way do this trip?.

Yes it's valid. Journey planners will also give you reservations that way if you input via SHF before searching.

You may wish to initially buy the 'via Chesterfield' fare and, on the way back, obtain a change of route excess for half the difference between the price paid and the Any Permitted fare.

@cambsy. Are you planning on doing the London St Pancras -> Sheffield -> Cleethorpes -> Sheffield -> Manchester Piccadilly legs all on the same day? Ask this as reckon that your outward ticket(s), if they're off peak, will only have validity = 1 day.

So noted. Day return fares from Sheffield to/from Cleethorpes, are only available for travel via Brigg, which journey is essentially only possible midweek, but maybe that's what you had in mind.

Im doing the Transpennine service if do this route and trip, via Brig too slow and not interest me really.
