When's this till please? For anybody interested in trying first class, or those who do, there is a promotion starting on Monday (9th) with reduced upgrade fares. The current upgrade fares will be re-structured at £10, £15 & £20 for journeys between 0-50, 50-100 & 100miles+ respectively.
On weekends it’ll be a £10 flat fare regardless of journeys.
Main difference will be that railcards can not be used during the promotion which I believe at the moment is just during June
When's this till please?
When will HD05's repairs meant to be completed as it's meant to be at Crewe depot from Monday?Tomorrow will see a few moves amongst the loco fleet.
67022 is planned to come off HD04 at Crewe in the evening and be replaced by 67013.
67020 will move to Crewe ETD while 67015 will make the reverse move to Crewe ATC.
Rake wise, 67029+HD01 and 67008+HD06 are on Crewe starts with 67022+HD04 and 67025+HD07 on Cardiff starts tomorrow.
Sunday should see 67013+HD04 out of Crewe and 67008+HD06 out of Cardiff.
HD01 stops for an exam on Sunday and Monday, HD05, on repair at ETD will move straight for its B exam at ATC once repairs are completed at ETD too.

1V31 is planned as a unit and HD06 is planned to enter service on 1W55 to get Canton down to 1 set.Edit: Although this is now the STP diagrams from tomorrow, I believe there are two sets still on Canton tonight so I’m not too sure what tomorrows plan will be regarding 1W11, as theoretically could still be a Mk4

Losing and amending a diagram now 2 sets are missing is a sensible decision
Presumably, bringing back the Swansea element of 1V50?Looks to be some diagram changes from tomorrow, presumably to cover for a set now being short.
1W11 04:35 Cardiff - Manchester & 1V37 08:30 Manchester - Cardiff, this then forms 1W61 14:50 Cardiff - Manchester & 1V62 18:30 Manchester - Cardiff. This will be booked a 197 for the time being.
The Mk4 that works 1V33 06:27 Manchester - Cardiff now forms 1W59 12:53 Cardiff - Manchester & 1V50 Manchester - Cardiff. A good compromise, as 1V50 is a very busy service and worthy of keeping a Mk4.
The 16:30 is still down as a Cardiff terminator.Presumably, bringing back the Swansea element of 1V50?
Or there is a new excuse now there are not two arrivals of Mk4 at similar times?
Hopefully, additional common sense can be applied and 150s can substitute on diagrams that stay closer to Cardiff. The vision of 2-cars replacing a Mk4 whilst a 3-car 197 goes to Ebbw Vale looms quite large.
I thought the 18:30 was the substituted diagram? The 16:30 is still down as a Cardiff terminator.
Its on a 3 car diagram for what were the Mk4s
It is the 18:30. The diagrams have been rejigged to keep the Mk4s on the busiest services, with 2 out with accident damage it was a matter of time before something went.I thought the 18:30 was the substituted diagram?
Or are things so bad that both the 16:30 and the 18:30 are now 197s?
Still at Crewe ETD being repaired, not too sure when it's expected over to ATC for its B exam. Its run out of days before it's due so wont be back in service before it's exam.Any news regarding HD05 please?

I doubt they will use 150 regularly to Manchester. In recent weeks they have mostly been on the likes of Ebbw Vale/Maesteg and Swanline/Pembroke Dock/Heart of Wales when covering for other traction.Presumably, bringing back the Swansea element of 1V50?

Will there be an extra 197 diagram to cover for the missing MK4 or will they simply juggle the existing diagrams? The current diagrams I believe have 50 x 197 diagrams? It is the 18:30. I was just replying to the question about 1V50 going to Swansea. Not too sure on the reasons that have been decided not to send it to Swansea.
There looks to have been a slight reduction in 197 diagrams too down to 48.Will there be an extra 197 diagram to cover for the missing MK4 or will they simply juggle the existing diagrams? The current diagrams I believe have 50 x 197 diagrams?
Sensible decision to reduce 197s if they cant cover all booked diagrams. Hopefully the Sprinters will be routes that keep them close to Cardiff. There looks to have been a slight reduction in 197 diagrams too down to 48.
There are i believe 2 extra 150 diagrams (now 18) and an extra AT set diagrammed (now 4) to make up.
I notice the substitute Mk4 for tomorrow is currently 197042.
Real problems at the moment isn't there.
Curious to see what I get on 1W12.
