Hi there,

Firstly, a massive thanks for all the advice in this thread and in the others. I have found this invaluable in knowing how best to respond to the issue I was facing.

Since the above, I can confirm that WMT have investigated my purchase history and advised the amount I need to pay to settle the issue. They have also confirmed that the PFN case has been settled, so no further action there.

I've been provided with Bank Account details to settle the payment. Can I just ask others in this situation whether they have also paid by Bank Transfer? In today's world, I am always a little dubious of anything around payment.

Thanks in advance

Your bank should have a system that checks the recipient account and tells you whether they can identify it. I use OLB al the time (not for this purpose, I hasten to add!).

If you wish, post the account details on here - someone will know if it's genuine.

PS Glad it has been resolved :)

You could ask them for an alternative to using bank transfer but it isn't likely to result in anything that is convenient to you. I believe in one case they had an arrangement to pay at a station, at a specific time when a member of the relevant team could be in attendance.

Good point, mine has this so can check it that way. Thank you.

Here's an image of the details given in case anyone is able to verify.

Bank transfer is a very normal way of paying for things outside of retail. The bank will be able to verify the account details when you set it up as a payee in online banking.
