Sorry, but I can't help but snigger to myself :lol: - lets say you seemed to have gone 'express' past it!

NO!!!! Not the fabled 357?!

No, it isn't. That makes things interesting...

Oh no, wait. I misinterpreted the clue. 379??

I don't think any of them have that light cluster.

A 379?
Finally we have an answer! I can tell OxtedL is not going to be pleased in the slightest.

It's a Stansted 'Express' Class 379

I twigged it at about 19:09 and 42 seconds, as demonstrated above. The bombardier website was involved...

Hmmmm...When did you edit that post - the bit about the 379 never showed up earlier. As far as I'm concerned, whoever wants the floor can have it so you and 90019 can sort out who it'll be

Since it has been a few days, I will take the floor :)

This may be a bit easy but will give it a go. From a train I was on today...cover kept flapping open so seized an opportunity :P

Not around for long tonight and out in the morning so it is likely to be afternoon before I get back to it

I would put 50p on that being a BR 2nd Gen DMU (i.e. Sprinter/Pacer) and I'm going to open the bidding with 158.

Cheapskate :P

It is indeed a 158 - ATW - was pretty much wedged! What you can't see as I have cropped the picture, is the catering guy with the trolley in the bike area so people could get off at Rhyl!

Somewhere, not in London
It looks like a class 86 locomotive, possibly at Birmingham NS
--- old post above --- --- new post below ---
Correction, it's 81012 at Birmingham New Street...

Or maybe a different 81, it's not exactly the same as...

Bonus points are definitely in order, I was stunned when you got Birmingham NS from that picture!

Awww yeah! Open floor, I'd love to post a tricky one but I doubt I'll be here enough in the next few days to keep track of it.
