So I heard that 2 Scania E300s have been brought over from Yorkshire to replace the aging MAN 300s at Gillmoss. How many Scania's are being brought to replace the MANs?
27824/25 are the two E300 at Gillmoss.
From South Wales E300 Scanias are 28636/42/71/73 and 28709/10/11/21 all at Preston.

I wonder what these Chorley to Leyland services are? It can’t be 114 as the contract was only recently extended and handed to Tyrers
The 114 is only Monday to Saturday daytime. These awards are Monday to Saturday evening and Sundays.

If Preston Bus have won 319 won't they have to invest in vehicles for the service considering most of Preston's fleet is took up with Streetlites, Solo SRs and the Mellor Strata's?

The capacity of a Mellor Strata is more than the average loadings of a 319

Stagecoach to amend the 84 Chester - Nantwich - Crewe from 27 July 2025

Monday-Saturday, most Crewe-Nantwich services will be extended to Chester, meaning a half hourly service in the daytime between Crewe and Chester.

This will be the first time since 2016 that the full route has operated half-hourly.

There's also a new 0600 Nantwich - Crewe service Monday-Saturday which could appeal to morning commuters and hospital staff

Hi just a quick question has anyone heard if Stagecoach Preston depot is due to move from Stagecoach MCSL operations to Stagecoach CNL operations heard a few people talk about it recently but not seen anything official
Would make sence with the depot being in Lancashire

It is official. It's been put on the companies staff only social media platform thing (The Blink) by the interim operations director

Wonder if the X2 may move to Gillmoss with CNL running Preston

Be good for Preston as may open up more work sure as potentially route sharing the 40/41 with Lancaster unless it already happens

The X2 is remaining at Preston as it will be operating under a permit scheme. Gillmoss don't forget is being franchised and there is no guarantee of Stagecoach operating out of there within the next few years.

Preston hasn't moved division yet, that's why. They need to re-register all of the services update all of the operations centres on the CNL operators licence. It's by no means an 'immediate' change but it will happen, my guess is around January given the current registration deadlines.

Would it make sense to rename the trading name to something like "Stagecoach Cumbria and Lancashire" since it will encompass the entire Lancashire operations? Perhaps even Stagecoach North West.

Of course it would also make sense to rename the Merseyside operation to Stagecoach Merseyside and Cheshire :D

That is how it was before the 2011 restructuring. Logically it will return to that again, but who knows.

I think that is likely to happen.

How about moving the Stagecoach Ribble name to cover the Cumbria and Lancashire side -
and Stagecoach Merseyside to cover the soon to be franchised zone??

Rock Ferry is not part of the the franchising plans

I doubt that route sharing will be on the agenda. The 300/30 is run entirely from Lillyhall and that requires a 0400 start and an 0030 finish (rather than anything being done by Carlisle). Sharing routes between depots is relatively uncommon.

Not certain a name change for the northern ops is really needed.

Is Rock Ferry not involved in franchising? I mean, the depot itself might not be (?) but the operations will be?

You're largely correct. Rock Ferry depot is being retained by Stagecoach for the 1/X1 service (Which will operate under permit) and contracts (Stena, Hope University and a private contract). Plus Stagecoach intend on using it to bid for the 'small' and school franchises (the ones which don't come with a depot).

The 38, 41/42 and 471/472 are subject to franchising, and will be moving to the Laird Street garage next year at some point.

Or put Merseyside back to Glenvale Transport and register CNL under Ribble btw what is CNL trading as currently?

Thanks for that :D I would've been surprised if stuff like the 471/2 wasn't subject to franchising. It's quite a large and old site but I guess they have a use for it until someone comes along with a cheque.
