I guess on Sundays you get the free tea/coffee and snacks but no chef so no hot food menu. On Saturdays is it the same?

Ive only used MK4 on a weekday so far.

I got unlucky today with 1V50, no chef. I was quite peckish for something dinner wise but I can live. Also noticed it terminated at Cardiff due to only a minor delay of around 15-20 minutes. I was under the assumption that they were using it as an excuse to put the passengers to GWR, which I was correct. Moments after it heads off to Canton an 80x arrives!
Fortunately I did manage to have a lovely sausage bap as a mini breakfast this morning, plenty to keep me going aboard 1W13. No chance I was finishing a full breakfast when I was only travelling to Hereford from Bridgend.

The 0432 and 1253 from Cardiff are being covered by 197118 today.

Maybe things will change later with the 1253 but that's whats showing on RTT at the moment.

67020 failed it's exam overnight on Saturday night, it was waiting parts being shipped down by DB. It was also swapped out yesterday but with another Mk4. It's hoped, but not guaranteed to have it back on the 12:53.

RTT has updated now showing a MK4 for the 1253. With 197118 doing the 1323 CDF-HHD instead. I wonder what would have happened had the 197 not been made available.

HD06 has gone to Crewe ETD for tyre turning following it's exam.

67008 is planned to head back from Canton to Crewe ETD for maintenance tomorrow, 67016 will head light engine the other way to take over as the Canton recovery loco.

1W11 HD07/67025 Cancelled this morning but still running as empty stock to Shrewsbury, due to the failure of 6M76 Dee Marsh steel train climbing Llanvihangel between Abergavenny and Hereford. Seems it was expected to have been held for a lot longer than it was so decision was made to run it ECS.

1W13 start is HD04/67022
1V31 start is HD05/67015
1V33 start is HD02/67029
1V91 start is HD01/67020.

It’s been amended to start at Cardiff again at 06:46. Not sure on the reasoning today but it was no driver yesterday. It’s listed as a VSTP alteration today though rather than a cancellation

Ah ok. There’s no good connection from Swansea then is there, GWR at either 0449 or 0557, the former is likely to have been missed if you were aiming for the TfW service, the latter will miss the connection in Cardiff by 5 mins.
