SE seem to store any problematic units here. First 465921, then 465911.

This time, however, the victims are a pair of BREL/ABBs. 465005 and 465178. Been in the siding for over a month now. They entered the siding a couple of weeks after 911 left.
Anyone who knows what's wrong with them, please say.

Could these two be the first BREL/ABB units go to storage?

If needed, I can get a picture and post it here.

Here are photos. 466021 is also in the siding but isn’t coupled.

Where do BREL 465s go for heavy maintenance? It must be within the SE area as only MetCam units are dragged to Doncaster's Wabtec yard for it.

I believe the BRELS are looked after at Slade Green Maintenance Depot.

I passed 2x 465s into Victoria last night, but was too dark to see the identities. Are they still 465005 and 178? Incidentally they had interior lights on, while the front unit had its forward white lights on the cab as if it was about to leave into Victoria station, so if they are the same units they're still "warm".

Yes still the same units. Regulations require the front unit to show white markers as the Wall Siding is directly next to a running line in the opposite direction. The lights displayed on the unit must mirror the colour displayed on the buffer stops (white in this case).

Apparently when 465005 and 178 left the outside siding, all that happened was they moved into the shed, so are still out of service.
