Mods; not sure where to put this, please move if appropriate.

This week I cleared an entire class for sight from scratch in 60 minutes. Any guesses?
Clue - it wasnt a class with just one or two exmples in use.

Class 89 (there aren’t one or two in use, there are zero in use!)

What does ‘cleared’ mean? Seen through binoculars from a mile away, ridden on, photographed…?

Class 139?
Nope. This class has more than 2 working examples. Not sure how easy that would be, the 'shed' at Stourbridge Jn always looks quite hard to see into?

Class 484?
Another good guess, but no. I think thats definitely possible to do though.

Class or sub-class?
Good question! I think I'd say 'class' e.g. Class 465, not Class 465/1. If thats what you meant?

Class 155? I don't know too much about their operations but there's only 7 of them.
Another good guess, but nope. They operate in a pretty tight area (York<>Hull<>Brid, sometimes Leeds) although probably quite hard to do in an hour as one or two would be on shed (NL?)

Good guess, but no. Would that be theoretically possible, not sure?

If workings aligned such that all units in service passed through Cardiff Central in say 45-50 minutes then you caught a train past Canton depot and saw all remaining units stabled, then I'd say so.

Unlikely yes, but not impossible.

Nope. I reckon that would be impossible to do?

Would 318 be possible? I believe a few examples are long term out of use. 397 might be possible if the workings aligned. Once I saw 84 377s in 70 minutes.

I think 397 would be pretty tricky, even if all of them were out their diagrams cover too lengthy journeys to see all 12 in an hour?
318, 60 minutes at Partick perhaps, but I reckon at least one would be at GW or CK?

Class 745?
Well this is more fun than I thought it would be 8-)
I dont think that would be possible, youd have to be at Liv St (Or Bethnal Green) to see Norwich and Stansted trains, and in any one hour there would be a few units up in Norfolk/Suffolk (and 1 or 2 stabled / under repair at Crown point?)

Class 555? All delivered examples that is.
Nope, although another good guess and probably do-able?
(No funny tricks in the question though, like undelivered or inactive or scrapped examples. I saw all members of this class that exist, or have ever existed, or are planned to exist!!)

Sorry, nope. I dont think any of those could be done in an hour, although they all have fairly tight areas of operation so good guesses! 376 and 707 have too many diagrams I think? and 333s have no one location where you'd see them all? Even running around the triangle at Shipley you miss Leeds<>Ilkley?

Geographically (if you define 'geography' in terms of the regional rover ticket I was using) then Classes 155, 555 and 803 are the closest guesses. Note 'geography' not 'validity' ;)
