Very Dilapidated Cricklewood Station Building

Does anyone know anything about the future of Cricklewood station building?

Currently it is owned by a company called "Station House Reclamation", who have left the building in a very sorry state, letting the roof collapse, and neglecting basic repairs to the brickwork of the building letting it crumble, with no effort to maintain it.

I have never seen anyone enter or leave the site of the station building. It used to be filled with various rusty older cars for scrap, but i haven't seen anything in there since post Covid.

I remember hearing a rumour a few years ago that either a local group or Network Rail tried to enter into negotiations to buy the property from the current owner, who declined all offers, and asked for an exorbitant price for the property.

Does anyone have any ideas what will happen to the building in the future?

It would be very sad to see it further degrade; as as far as I know it its the only surviving station house south of St Albans on the MML.

I found this photo of the station building, but I will take some photos of the station building this weekend, as I cannot find any recent photos of it online, this photo is circa 2014

Perhaps they’ve been reclaiming the gable end bricks only as needed to sell in small quantities...

The problem with that is i think the building is listed in some form so they wouldn't be allowed to do that

Surely surplus buildings and/or land are often sold when there's no longer deemed to be any reason to hang onto them?

It's an uninteresting, unlisted building and one which should have been pulled down rather than left to be an eyesore. Perhaps the salvage company has a use for it though.

Can't be as dilapidated as the one beside Newhaven harbour. Someone's knocked the boards in and you can see inside now, very messy but old fashioned style decor within !
