I know that 150272 (of Northern) has a special livery advertising the Colne Blues Festival, and that one of FCC's 319s also bears an advert (anybody know for what?) but are there any more trains out there with advertising liveries?

As with most of my Sunday evening threads, this has nothing to do with Photo of the Week ;)

Many thanks.

There are 4 365s painted in promotional livery, with various towns that FCC (or WAGN as it was when they were painted) serve.

There's a 456 with a lovely panoramic view of London all over it, no idea which one though. It's not Cosmo, I know that much.

Having lived with the West Anglia 315's when most of them used to carry awful advertising liveries >:( (WAGN Travelcard, British Transport Police, Intralink) I can't say I am a fan of advertising liveries. They are always ugly and tacky looking IMO, although I like the Coastway branding with the pictures of South Coast destinations that the Southern 313's carry if that counts as one :D

GNER had their HST's with Advertisement space on them for venues/events of visited stations around 2005-6, not all over liveries but a nice little addition!

the 321 that carried Dutch livery counts as advertising doesn't it? Wasn't it to promote the original Dutch Flyer promotion?

TPE have a "Liverpool Capital of Culture" Class 185 still knocking about, and 4 Merseyrail units were in an all over wrap for the same event.

See here - Merseyrail

and here - TPE

Is that the only "promo" livery TPE has ever done?

Does anyone have any photos of the train that was covered in the Pepsi livery (they used to have planes as well).

Rather supprised that knowones mentioned the rather attractive Wessex Trains advertising liveries yet...

WessexTrains Class 143
Wessex Trains / Valley Lines Class 150 Fleets
Wales & West / Wessex Trains Class 153 Fleets - Heart Of Wales, Heart Of Wessex, Great Scenic Railways of Devon & Cornwall, 153329 & 153369 - The St Ives Bay Belle & The Looe Valley Explorer liveries...
And Wessex Trains 158 Fleet carried serveral adverts for the South West - including Freedom Of The South West...

And W&Ws Ginsters Pasty 158s, And The Western Mail Class 158

So over time theres been a few attractive advertising liveries...

Heres a couple of links - Sorry, cant add many more as the st*pid college computers classes picture websites as social networks...

Couple of 158s

And in a way, you could class First Great Westerns rather nice 'Local Lines' livery as advertising, because its advertising various destinations across FGWs network in the south west...:D

Scotrail had some 170 centre cars in advertising livery- and the Gatwick Express 460s have had special liveries too.

Several of the Northern unit fleet have advertising of a sort on them. One has an NRM wraop, one has a "visit Bishop Auckland " wrap
