Official notifications of declassified trains?

I'm just wondering if there is anywhere that officially says a train coach is declassified?

I'm specifically thinking of Avanti, as they say this once, but then a lot of people standing in the passageway are too scared to move as they don't know if they heard correctly.

Interestingly, it seems to be younger folk who don't move, and you would assume they have very good levels of hearing and alertness.

Is there any app which updates this information which can be checked real time?

I presume it would be listed in a service or catering update at
journeycheck.com/vt
You can change the last 2 letters to the TOC code of most other operators (notably not Abellio related ones though)

Class 700 - Thameslink PIS will say this area is for use of passengers with standard class tickets.
Doesnt answer your question but...

There is no official notification on Avanti services. It is entirely at the discretion of the Train Manager. As an Avanti TM myself, I find each situation different.

When it is obvious that I will need to declassify a train before we depart Euston/Glasgow etc, I will announce this regularly before departure on the PA and whilst on the platform.

However, if a service needs to be declassified enroute due to picking up too many customers, I tend not to make an announcement. I inform customers that we are extremely busy, I ask that no luggage is on seats and all seats are made available for customers. I announce that I will be making my way through the train back to front to find out how many seats are available and how many people are standing. I respectfully ask for a little patience whilst I do this.

Often, I can get everyone sat down without declassifying the whole train. If I only have to declassify standard premium, I will.

But of course, sometimes the whole train needs to be declassified. In this instance I firstly see if any vulnerable or elderly people are without a seat, and get them sat down in first. I then send other people down to first class.

I tell the catering staff not to continue the service but still don't announce it to customers yet.

Once every seat is taken, I announce that the service is declassified, but every seat in the train is now taken. If you are still standing I apologise and advise customers to email customer resolutions.

I find this approach much safer than just saying service is declassified and promoting a free for all.

I've no doubt many people will disagree with this approach, but safety supercedes everything, and this is the safest approach in my experience.

Given the heavy handed approach to revenue protection and the total maze of a fare system, I'm not surprised people are hesitant, even after multiple announcements.

For example, one currently listed entry is
16:51 Edinburgh to London Euston due 23:23

16:51 Edinburgh to London Euston due 23:23 has been previously delayed, has been further delayed between Preston and Wigan North Western and is now 45 minutes late.
This is due to a speed restriction because of severe weather.
Service full and standing from Preston. First class is declassified.
Additional Facilities Information
Standard premium is not available on this service.
Additional Information
This train is very busy today. If you have a flexible ticket, it's a good idea to go on another train if you can.

Guess maybe it changes based on how quickly the guard notifies control, how much capacity the information controller has to update with declassification etc. (would imagine reporting cancellations etc. takes priority). Good to know it is done where possible though!
