Trivia: Bleakest Terminal Stations

Not just the station, everything about Ardrossan Harbour is bleak, it's hard to believe it's the gateway to such a lovely island.

Many, many years ago I went to Arran from Fairlie Pier. That was bleak, except for a fire in the waiting room which I coudn't get near. We ended up walking around the town early in the morning. I have a recollection, which might be false, but we boarded the ferry across a plank.

I've gotten to quite like Newquay. There are a couple of nice places with spectacular views of the bays.

The Fort is ok, nice terrace overlooking the water on a sunny day and the St Austell brewery beers are always good

Yes,think that's one of the ones I've been to.
