66097 is now red, but no numbers externally yet.

66136 is currently in service, so is not currently being painted, although it may have slipped my attention and been painted and released, but still shown as EWS maroon/gold on TOPS.

I saw a Red Cl66 running around the rail network a few months a go (must of been around Southampton area, not sure though) and thought it was about time they started re-branding. Did I see somewhere that these can't easily be repainted due to something being used on them at first?

Source? The EWS branding is only there still as there is no real need to remove it - DB Schenker in the UK is essentially EWS. Anyone who's likely to need to know that will know it. As for all locos being put into DB Livery - like that 37 that's sat in the scrapyard?

Last I heard DB were counting the cost of painting every loco, although 2 66s have recently been painted in Poland, 66163 and 220. So it may seem many more Class 60, 66 and 92s will be painted.

I wonder when they'll get round to doing a 90? Or maybe they're not that worried about them as all they seem to do is hire them out and not actually use the 90's themselves.

66136 is still in EWS livery, though 66097 is now reportedly painted in DB Schenker livery.

90s are regularly used on 6L48 Garston - Dagenham car train as far as Wembley and presumably the return working (6X41).

I would think it is a good way of swapping the locos over used for the sleepers to get them back to Crewe IEMD when they need maintenance.

A 90 has been in DB Livery, See my below photo.
This was Freightconnections which saw one 90 painted in each of French, Belgium and German Freight colours.
90022 is named Freightconnections, but is stored and was put on the recent DB Tender List.

Well If you look they will still be one part of the livery still on the class 66's and the 59's as if look above the windscreen they is still the orange Line like below in the pictures

The orange line is an indication that this is the limit for working under the overheads, nothing above the line. Can't do wipers on a 67 under the overheads as they are mounted above the line!

Thanks for Correcting me i always thought it was part of the livery but i guess i'm still learning about the railwas as i've only be in the hobby for 8 months
