My son is on a train from Luton Airport Parkway to St Pancras and then London Bridge. He origianlly wanted to get off at StP but now wants to go to London Bridge. His ticket is an Anytime day single and shows THK as the destination. Is that valid to London Bridge? I can't find much on the web.

See https://www.nationalrail.co.uk/travel-information/travelling-in-london/

Tickets to London Thameslink (“THK”) are valid to London Bridge when travelling from the north.

Ticket presumably https://www.brfares.com/!faredetail...rt=on&flow=1&multi=1&fare=26&rte=1000&tkt=SDS
Thank you :)

I've completely failed to find any web resource that will decode THK.
https://www.nationalrail.co.uk/stations/ fails
I tried entering it as a destination on trainsplit, but that failed too.

While it's been answered here, for future reference it's called a CRS code and a website that claims to have a comprehensive resource is http://www.railwaycodes.org.uk/crs/crs0.shtm#crs (and indeed it is listed on it). The reason entering it as a station fails is it's not a station (even though fares are available) - same reason you can't do e.g. London Terminals. I'm not sure why trainsplit didn't accept it though if I were to speculate it might be because London Thameslink has two different CRS codes...

I'm probably being a bit dense, but I can't get that CRS page to return a hit for THK. I've looked manually in the T pages and also used the search.

That's because it's well hidden, though the 'Fast Filter a Specific Location or Code' box worked OK for me ...

London Thameslink (and other fare groups) don't have CRS codes. That's why you aren't finding it on TrainSplit and other sites, as they only look up by real CRS codes.

The issue is that when eTickets were designed, it was decided to use CRS codes in massive font as the main origin/destination indicator - which posed a problem for fare groups which don't have them. This was fixed by creating a mapping of "fake" CRS codes for fare groups - LON for London Terminals, THK for London Thameslink, BIR for Birmingham New St/Moor St/Snow Hill, etc. These are used for displaying on eTickets, and only for displaying on eTickets, hence they usually don't show up in other search boxes where normal CRS codes work.
