Have just recently applied for my partners rail pass. We do not stay together so have completed the non cohabiting form. How long does it usually take to receive pass in the mail? And will it be delivered to my address with their name on it? Or will it be delivered to their address?

My understanding was that you had to be married or cohabiting to be eligible for a partner pass, unless this has changed recently.

Yes this just changed at the start of this year. Staff are now eligible to apply for a non cohabiting partner but this must be done through a solicitor through statutory declaration

Rail Staff Travel (RST) is now able to accept applications from active and retired employees for a partner that they do not live with.

Partner/Spouse and Dependant ( ie a child) are different types of pass. They can take a few weeks to come through and I think it'll come to your home address.

Took around 6-7 weeks for mine with no communication prior to dispatch, slow but this was shortly after they launched it. Hope this helps !

Even an application for a cohabiting partner needs to go through a solicitor if you're not married.

Yeah, me and the wife done it before we were married. There’s always a solicitor that’ll do it for cheap, £5-£10 for instance.
