The inner recesses of my tortured mind.
A big company wide change coming up very soon, doesn't directly involve buses though

Found out today (and I'm sorry if I'm spoiling Gez's fun here!) that Stagecoach North West and Stagecoach Merseyside are merging and the resulting company is being split into two. Gillmoss, Chorley and Preston (including Fleetwood) will become Stagecoach South Lancs and Merseyside, and the rest will become Stagecoach North Lancs and Cumbria.

Could be an interesting few months...

Cheers.

Yeah something similar got mentioned to me middle of last week by someone from Preston. Not sure how much difference it will make to us, might just be a more efficient way of doing it in terms of admin.

Hmm...I was aware of something similar, but not of the names.

South Lancs sounds alright..but North Lancs & Cumbria? That's a bit of a mouthful!
You could almost get away with Stagecoach Cumberland, given everything is run off the Cumberland license...

17012 is going to need a repaint when all that wrap comes off!

Dumfries now featuring in the equation to join the extended Stagecoach NW? Hmmm....

LL's allocation of the day is 15686 on 31's "Decker Slot". 22599 is out on 300-302 in its place.
Suppose that's what you get for only having 1 spare double decker, and having a bloody useless 17017 spending more time off the road than in service. Might as well assign it it's own workshop bay!

Why would it need painted? From what I was told it is just a vinyl wrap.

Suppose thats what you get when Lillyhall are a waste of space! Shame they cannot just cut them out of the North West and sell them off. Never known a depot like it.

Anyone on here know how the Kendal Town services interwork and how many buses are needed in total?

Vinyls are known for peeling paint off with them when removed. Things will just look tatty if it doesn't get paint.

I agree that Lillyhall needs a serious look at - I can't help but wonder if things have got very political between Head Office and the LL staff.

Not really sure on how Kendal town interworks, but I think it's 5 Solos and 1 Dart.

no back fence still at white lund.
21004/5 are now residents on the back fence at White Lund, 21007 was over a pit today, leaving only 21003 as the only and possibly last depending on 21007's status as the last step entrance single decker at Morecambe (was on staff shuttles today). Also one of the 2280* MANs was parked with the withdrawn vehicles today. Back fence now full, should be some movements in the next few weeks, 33163 at least due to go for store at Lillyhall when they have room, 14208 to join sister 14204 at Springfield.
PS: Anyone at Blackpool on Sunday?

Going to be very interesting indeed. Wonder how many deckers will leave from each depot...Do you mean just Scania's will be leaving for Manc? So LL's, KL's, ME's PR's and CY's?

It'll be two weeks where, for once, we'll all be posting allocations haha!

I suppose LL did do their best at keeping the 31 decker slot LF! After all, further MAN's were off service yesterday, resulting in two Oly's and at least one B10M if I remember, hopefully a repeat performance won't be done today! I think 17017 has overtaken 34079 as the most useless machine LL have had

47062 did replace 53339 on the 1815 to Penrith. 47062 went out and 53339 arrived back into Workington just 5 mins later, overall nearly half an hour late. It was either 47062 or 47754.... picture can be found on my Flickr for those interested.

Now that the E300'S are in Service, what routes do the MANS cover, not been into town all week.

Anything really. X1 should be MAN operated from now on some Carnforth stuff some 42 runs and anything in between like the 40/41, 2/2a etc. They'll still appear on the 3/4 from time to time obviously when an E300 is off!

22609 on long 302.
53338 replaces 20923 on X4.
16184 on 50.
47754 replaces 16734 on 51.

X4/X5 have been running late all day. 20923 was on annexe when I first went out, after being on Moorclose 51 this morning. It replaced 20910 on 14:15 X4. 20910 then replaced late running 52628 on 15:15 X5, 52628 in turn replacing a late running bus on 16:15 X4 etc etc etc.

16184 replaced a broken 47061 on 16:15 50.
47617 replaced a broken 20473 on 15:45 extra X5.
Both of these broken down buses wouldn't start up after drivers turned them off to sit in the bus station.

No double decker on 30 or 31 at all today. Just 10 MANs, 35246 and 20913.
47754 was short 302's. The bus from short 302 does the last 51 at 18:05 now, after finishing the short 302's.

Penrith based 104 branded 24124 working out of Carlisle today and was on the 18.00 ex CE 600 and was replaced by 34701 upon it's return. Probably the only time you will see a Penrith Enviro working for Carlisle this year!

685 branded 52627 on Megabus duties. There seems to be a lot of breakdowns on the M11 in the last couple of weeks.

34221 has finally made it out and was on the Citi network today.

Basically anything that a B10 used to do, with only 21007 seeing service today on a 42. X1's are now MAN operated, they are spare buses for low floor routes (2,2A,3,4,40). They also see use on the 50/5s and 42s with a mixture of deckers, the 6's when a Versa isn't available, one has even been on short Vales this week! There are now 2 based nightly at Ingleton for the 80's, one sees use on at least 2 if not 3 81A/81Bs, with a run to Halton at 1450 M-F on the 49 before dropping on to the 942 school contract, with one usually running around on the 55's. Think the only route the haven't touched in a while are Ridge's and Kendal's, although they have been known to do them!
While on the subject, see if anyone can spot the new E300's off route, because of how the bus duty diagrams work at Morecambe there will be at least 2 each M-F depending whats allocated to that duty, although you'll have to be up early to spot them.
22809 is well on the way to getting its new engine, having gained a back end repaint and advert frame since loosing its rear advert. 47249 back in the yard today having had a repaint sister 47247 in the dead lane minus an engine!
