Refund on journey - are both legs now invalid?

I have booked a journey through Trainsplit, which consists of two single fares, an off-peak outbound and an advance inbound. I've had to change the date of my outbound trip, and opted to do this by rebooking and cancelling the original ticket, as it allowed me to make a saving.

Once the original ticket was cancelled, I received the following email, which seems unclear on whether both legs of my journey are now invalid. Can I still travel on the return leg, which was an Advance fare which I have not received a refund with? Will Raileasy now cancelled the e-tickets on both legs, rather than just the advance, refunded leg?

Any responses are much appreciated.

Only the Off-Peak Single (starting RD and ending JHS) has been refunded and cancelled. The Advance for the return journey is intact. I think the second email you'll have received once the refund actually completed sets this out a bit more clearly, and gives you a breakdown of tickets and the ticket type code.

The scope "(Outbound and inbound)" is telling you that every refundable ticket within the booking (including both the outward and return portions) has been refunded. In this instance, it just so happens that the inbound ticket is non-refundable, so by refunding every refundable ticket, only the outward is affected.

Ticket starting RD and ending JHW has not been cancelled and is still valid for travel.
