An “any permitted” ticket is valid via Blackburn/Lancaster-Hellifield-Carlisle, if that’s of any help. Not via Leeds, though.

As ever, are split tickets a possibility, in order to travel via Leeds? If so, where is the optimal split point? @Tatlock. Welcome to the forum. Are you looking at travelling from Kidderminster to Carlisle, and back, if possible via Leeds, on the same Saturday?

In which case, your best bet is to use the forum's ticket site, specify via Leeds on the outward journey, and see what it throws up.

It's a long day however you do it - depending on the makeup of your party, you could consider terminating at Appleby rather than Carlisle, or coming back over Shap, in which case the North West Round Robin ticket comes into play.

(You can, with a following wind, come back at 1618 via Hellifield-Blackburn but (1) it may complicate the ticketing and (2) it will be dark before Hellifield anyway.)

An “any permitted” Kidderminster to Langwathby ticket looks like it may be valid via Leeds or Carlisle.
