Next week. Yes, it’s part of the OPC assessment.

It is part of the psychometric process, it may or may not be run by the OPC as GWR also have their own assessment centre

Thanks pal. They just said when they've got enough candidates at that stage to do all the DMIs over one week.

Hi all. I have recently been invited to a video interview with GWR for a trainee driver role. I have not done one of these before and the email says it is to get to know you a bit better. Was just wondering if anyone has done one of these before and what type of questions they ask/ any generic advice on how to format the answers to the questions.

Any help would be much appreciated.

I've done one with WMT, it was just 2-3 questions that you had a minute to answer. Think it's nothing in depth just another way to analyse candidates.

I don't know if GWR is the same though

Was it just the generic 'talk about a time when you...' 'provide an example of...' type of questions from what you remember?

It was "Tell me about the role of a driver", and "What does safety critical consist of"

As I said I had about 1-1.5 minutes to answer so they're not asking for details but key words.

I'm in the same boat except I applied for Oxford. Just over a month but no rejection yet. Fingers crossed.

In the same boat, I emailed them and they said they’re still working through interviews

I emailed the other day and been advised my video interview is still waiting to be reviewed by the driver management team.

Yes, I’ve been invited to attend the assessments in Dec. I’ve already passed them though, so waiting for the MMI now.

I’ve passed the MMI (and all other tests) through another TOC. I’m just waiting for a DMI with GWR now.

In my understanding, they are valid for 5 years from the day you received email stating that you have passed the assessment. Seems like you have another year and a bit to complete the process before they ask you to redo the tests.

Well done! Do you hear quite quickly after the stage 1 then? Am I right in thinking you are also applying for Swansea- just wondering when you initially applied as I’m in the same journey somewhere along it
