Morning, I've just passed a new line that branches off to the left approx 3-4 miles south of Northampton, any idea where it's going/goes to please?

It’s a new rail connected freight depot:

Railway engineers are about to enter an important phase to connect a major new rail freight interchange to the West Coast main line in Northampton.

Drone footage has been released today (Wednesday 9 August) showing where the new link to the Strategic Rail Freight Interchange at SEGRO Logistics Park Northampton will soon be built.

The preparation of the site has been going on for some time, and, a few weeks ago, the Northampton - Hanslope section was closed for 9 days to (presumably amongst other projects) provide the rail connection. Although it seemed to be likely from the position of a covered way for the rail track...
